The much-anticipated follow-up to Doom, Quake was one of the first games to make use of fully polygonal graphics and hardware acceleration, and is often credited as the point of origin for many lasting trends in the FPS genre, such as standardized mouse look and the WADS control scheme.

Sonic isn't the only one with a birthday today.   How do you guys feel?  Myself it's striking me that imma die soon cuz time is flying by so fast!  What are your favorite memories of the game?  Where do you place it in the FPS history books?

I know, and I just upgraded my ram to a whole 8mb for that extra framerate.
