Something Old, Something New 2
There was a time when a year seemingly couldn't go by without a Ratchet & Clank game. Insomniac Games released a whopping thirteen Ratchet & Clank games between 2002 and 2013. Thus, even a three year absence at the start of Sony's latest console generation was notable, even if the intention was to use the latest game as part of promotional efforts for the recent animated movie. One of, if not the best looking game on PS4 to date. I'm a big Ratchet and Clank fan and this game does not disappoint. Sharp graphics, good gameplay and the awesome goofy weapons. The game is based on the movie which is a reimagining of the first game so you will get a few new surprises if your a veteran of the series. The gunplay could be better but the basic gameplay is good. I would've like to have seen more wacky weapons but they've covered the bases. The story is alright but nothing specia...

The Ratchet & Clank series has generally tried to set itself apart as platformers that certainly do not take themselves seriously. The player is meant to have as much fun playing the game as the game is being played and telling a story.
