So I was really excited to see a FPS like this finally hit a portable system! If I went back 10 years and showed this off to myself or practically anyone into games, heads woulda exploded from the excitement. I'm not for sure if the reason for the low scores is because they compare this game to the console version or if they are hammering the overall score because the story isn't up to the level of other Resistance games. The only big negative I see is that the story is kind of generic and it isn't even bad it just isnt anything special so I do understand deducting for that. "Holy napalm covered alien testicles Bat-man!" This game isn't as good as I wanted it to be. Yes it is the first first person shooter on the Vita, but it's lacking a lot of finesse. Button mapping would have been awesome. The multi is good, and frankly the games saving grace. SCE Bend studio should have worked on this instead of Uncharted for the vita. Resistance retribution was a better game with a tighter story line and if they had been in charge of Burning skies who knows how amazing it would...

A Decent Game May Have Just Killed An Excellent Franchise 0
Resistance is one my personal favorite FPS franchises, and sadly, it seems like Burning Skies will most likely be the end of it.Resistance 3 was one of the greatest FPS games ever made. And I mean that. It's relatively short length was the only thing keeping it from a 10/10 rating from me. However, the market at large failed to recognize that greatness. A measly 180,000 copies sold worldwide did little to convince Sony this was a franchise worth continuing. Insomniac has left it behind to pursue...
