Rising Storm is a multiplayer-only historical first-person shooter developed and published digitally by Tripwire for the PC (via Steam) on May 30, 2013. It was later published in retail form exclusively in Europe by Lace Mamba Global on June 14, 2013.

A spin-off of the Red Orchestra series of realism-focused World War II first-person shooters (and a stand-alone expansion to Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad), Rising Storm brings the conflict to the Pacific Ocean theater, pitting the Allied forces of the United States military against the Axis forces of the Empire of Japan.

To maintain historical accuracy, the game uses asymmetrical weaponry and tactics for both factions. The U.S. Military gets access to powerful conventional weaponry (including semi-automatic rifles, shotguns, and flamethrowers), while Imperial Japanese forces have access to guerilla-style combat (including booby-trapped grenades, "knee mortars", and banzai charges).

Both Rising Storm and the multiplayer component of Heroes of Stalingrad share the same game engine and interface, allowing players to switch between both games on-the-fly and allowing server operators to host servers with both games in its map rotation. Players who only own Rising Storm have complete access to the multiplayer portion of Heroes of Stalingrad, while players who only own Heroes of Stalingrad have limited access to Rising Storm (limiting their role selection to the Rifleman).

Along with numerous updates, the game later received a sequel in 2017. Titled Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, it is the first in the series to take the conflict out of World War II, instead bring it into the Vietnam War.
