Blind firing is a feature used in many shooters to keep back advancing forces. In most games that utilize this concept, when you blind fire, your accuracy is greatly decreased from what it would be if you popped out of cover to aim. However, it gives you the advantage of not having to put yourself in the line of fire, so you would take much less damage.
