    Are the Rock Band 2 drums as clear an improvement over the first game's kit as most sites would have you believe? 

    Do the problems with cross-talk/pedal base breaking still flounder around?

    Mine are excellent. I've heard of the cross talk problems but haven't had any myself (they just got unlucky), and my bass pedal is fine too.

    They are a huge improvement. I can actually play fast rolls now.

    I love the new drumset, I can perform my rolls better with them (great pads), and the metal bass pedal can take more punishment.

    But, I have problems with cross-talk. I solve that by doing strokes on my blue pad with less force.
