The Green Day: Rock Band demo hit today and when you exit the demo a teaser image for Rock Band 3 pops up. It features a keyboard symbol hinting at the inclusion of keyboards in the game. What do you guys think? Are keyboards a good inclusion? Do you want another peripheral?

Sounds like it might be fun....as long as it doesn't lead into Rock Band: Attack Attack
" Sounds like it might be fun....as long as it doesn't lead into Rock Band: Attack Attack "crabcore! thanks for that

I only think it would be awesome if you could use midi keyboards, play without any background music, and if the on screen display could be set to a musical score. If it's just 5 buttons then it would be ridiculous and somewhat insulting. If however it fitted 2 out of the 3 previous criteria I would be really interested, I wouldn't feel like a child playing it unlike all of the previous rock band/guitar hero games.

Can't say as I'm surprised. I'd be interested to see if some of the earlier DLC (like Smokin' by Boston) will support it. I tend to doubt it. Also there will be harmonies, apparently, though that's no real surprise. I'd expect that just about all DLC that's been released since around/before The Beatles: Rock Band will have harmonies built-in (notice that the 21st Century Breakdown DLC tracks will have harmonies in Green Day: Rock Band). Ultimately, I guess the keyboard is cool, but I'm not terribly excited about it.
The only thing that I'd be excited to see are better features for identifying other players of equivalent skill who match up well with the DLC that I've bought. I gave up on online multiplayer because nobody had DLC, and I had no idea if I'd get matched up with people who play on Easy.
