    Not fun, nor rewarding.

    I played this game for two years.

    Two... years...

    And what experiences did I leave with? Nothing. I can't remember a single 'fun experience', it was just a constant grind fest. Like a boring job, but instead of getting money, you get a +1 next to your Coal ore, or Fish, or Combat level. WHAT IS THE POINT IN THAT. I mean sure you could say the same thing about any other MMORPG, but at least you have fun while doing it! This is just a constant grind!

    The only thing Runescape has done well, is that it can be played in a browser. I applaud them for that, I really do, it's quite an achievement and they pulled it off well. Now if only they made the actual game FUN TO PLAY, then I'd be happy.

    The majority who play Runescape are usually people who think a monthly subscription fee to a quality MMO like WoW is "OMFG SO NOT KEWL AND EXPENSIVE", so therefore they are all preteens that don't have a job.

    Seriously, do yourself a favour, and get a decent MMORPG like World of Warcraft, LOTRO, or EVE Online. Sure you'd be paying a bit per month but you get what you pay for.

    Also, it's come to my attention that in one of the latest updates to Runescape, you cannot trade more than 300 gp (gold pieces / money) at once, on the Free servers. This makes me laugh. They're pretty much forcing you to buy the Member account, and so since you're paying real money for this joke of a game, you might as well get WoW.

    Just so you know you can trade more than 300 gp but half the people are that stupid and don't understand the idea.   If I gave you something that is worth 50k you can give me 49.7k to 50.3k for the item.

    Rs can be fun but th big, BIG problem is you got to do a lot of boring crap before you can have fun so I understand why people hate it only reason I ever really managed to play it for so long is beacuse I started playing it with 3 other friends at the same time so I kind of always tried to be better than them and they tried to be better than me, also I guess that was a good bit of the fun part as well.

    Also can have fun other ways but you need to no the right people ;) and your right most of the people that play rs are preteens that are exteremely abuse and annoying which ruins the game in some ways also.

    I've played WoW and Guild Wars for over a year and I still find RS to be a compelling game, and if  I had to choose between my WoW account or my RS account I'd probably have to go with my RS account, simply because of the breadth of its gameplay and the constant evolution of your character; you never "re-roll" characters when you run out of things to do, unlike in WoW and Guild Wars. You bring up the issue of subscription fees when clearly you haven't subscribed to runescape before, and your "2 years" (or should I say 2 hours) of gameplay just doesn't merit a solid review. In short, you fail.

      this game is taken for "the worst game ever" or "It sucks!" or some crap like that, really it is not a bad game. you just need to know what to do, and if the game is sooo bad, then why is their 45000 players on all the time? the game is extreamly addictive. THE GAME DOES NOT SUCK!   you just need to get the hang of it. it is quite easy... yet you will find yourself taking a years worth or 6 mounths worth of a break. if you think the game is impossible and you can't do anything right, don't worry...
