Overview
Sarah Michelle Gellar is best known for her portrayal of Buffy Summers in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Playing the female protagonist of the series, Gellar worked with David Boreanaz as Angel, Nicholas Brendon as Xander Harris, Alyson Hannigan as Willow Rosenberg, James Marsters as Spike, and Anthony Stewart Head as Rupert Giles, among others.
After the show ended, she starred in movies such as the Grudge (and it's sequel) and Scooby-Doo (and its sequel). She also starred in some secondary roles like in Southland Tales. However, she did have a movie career before Buffy, starring mostly in horror movies the most significant one being in Scream 2. She has not starred or appeared in anything since 2009 in Veronika Decides to Die.
Video Games
She is only credited in a handful of games at the turn of the millennium, all of them being "Thanks" credits. She is thanked in X-Men Mutant Academy 2 and Rock 'em 'sock em Robots. She has never voiced her Buffy character in any of the games, asking for too much money during the tie-ins at the peak of her career, though she does permit the use of her likeness on character models.
Years later she agreed to make an appearance in the Escalation DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops. She stars as herself in the zombie map "Call of the Dead" - this only time she has involved herself in video games in terms of voice acting.
