Large birds that like to swoop and eat things. And they have large talons.
An earthworm is a legless, sightless, hermaphrodite worm that mostly lives underground. Many video games give them eyes and/or arms and legs.
An Easter Egg is an intentionally hidden cheat or hidden content in a video game, also known as a "secret".
Ahh, eating... We can't live without it, and, apparently, neither can some characters. From snakes to dots, games have odd ways of dishing out their dishes.
Electricity is commonly used as a damage-introducing element causing inanimate objects to become harmful (electrified water, floors, cables, etc). It can also refer to a power wielded by characters that generates sparks, is conductive to metal surfaces, forks or branches, and is often blue in color.
An elephant is the largest land mammal who has big ears, a trunk for a nose, a tail, and tusks. Supposedly they have good memories, hidden graveyards, a love of peanuts, and a great fear of mice.
Elves are a race found in a lot of games based on a fantasy setting. They are recognizable by their elongated ears and often live much longer than humans. Some are even immortal. There are many variations of Elves.
Frequently seen in RPGs and Fighting games, The EHI helps players calculate the current health of opponents.
A dark version of a game's hero, featuring many of the same powers. Usually wears black. Male evil twins often have goatees.
A punctuation mark that is used to express intense emotion.
An environmental hazard that can be exploited to inflict massive areal damage, exploding barrels are one of the most ubiquitous objects to be found in games. The most common methods of ignition include shooting and throwing. Exploding barrels are usually distinguished from the non-exploding kind by a conspicuous red tint.
A powerful release of energy. This energy is usually expelled in all directions very quickly, typically giving off orange or red flames.
Farming is the act of growing plants and raising animals for food.
A device used in many games with vast open worlds, to travel instantaneously from one place to another. It sometime appears in the form of an item or skill.
In games, fire can be an obstacle, a tool, a weapon, or a solution. Just don't play with it...unless you really want to.
Someone who fights fire.
Fireworks are a form of incendiary rocket designed to explode "gently" in bright colours and cause no damage, traditionally set off to mark festive or historic events.
Cold-blooded aquatic animals that have scales and breathe through gills.
A concept found in numerous video games, the idea that a weapon on fire is more powerful or does special "burn" damage when set on fire. Most commonly found with swords, several other weapons have been known to be set on fire for a similar effect.
It's not just for airplanes anymore: Game mascots and MMO players alike have taken to the skies. Players can use flight to quickly navigate large levels, find hidden items, or take opponents down.
Enemies that prefer to keep a distance to the ground, and swoop down occasionally to do some damage.
A frog is a small and usually green amphibian that can swim, hop, and ribbit. Sadly, most of them aren't princes.
A group of frost people from Jotunheim, one of the Nine Realms.
The concept of a game referencing another game through mockery, parody or even directly. A game reference to the same franchise does not count.
Magical creatures made of stone, resembling the grotesque statues commonly part of Gothic architecture such as the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris.
Genies, which originated from Arabia, are supernatural creatures that are magical and many can grant wishes. Some have a lamp or bottle and the owner of said item has power over them, including forcing them back into it and making them stay there.
These spooky entities are the spirits of the dead, returned from beyond their graves for generally sinister purposes. There's generally about even odds whether a particular ghost will be helpful or malevolent towards the living, but some ghosts just want to be left alone entirely.
Hey, should we open the cupboard where the crying baby sounds are coming from? Oh hey, there's nothing here.
A common location in games, specifically RPGs. Usually inhabited by ghosts and other creatures from the beyond.
