Scrolls is a new game by Mojang AB. It will be a strategic collectible card game with a fantasy theme.

In early August 2011, lawyers on behalf of Zenimax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, threatened Mojang with legal action, claiming that the title "Scrolls" could cause confusion with Bethesda's upcoming title, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Markus "Notch" Persson, founder of Mojang AB, responded with a (supposedly) serious offer to settle the matter with a Mojang-vs.-Bethesda match in Quake III: Arena, but this offer was not taken up, and it seems likely that the matter will be taken to court.
