I'm thinking about picking this game up on Sunday. Its looks interesting and fun. I'm in the mood for a fun lengthy single player game.So for people that have this game, can you tell me how long is the game and how much fun you had with it?
Shadows of the Damned
Game » consists of 9 releases. Released Jun 21, 2011
As demon hunter Garcia "F**king" Hotspur, players must venture into Hell itself in order to rescue Paula, Garcia's innocent girlfriend, from the sadistic torments of Fleming, the Lord of Demons.
How long is the single player campaign?
Yeah, just over 8 hours for me. But I enjoyed at least 95% of those 8 hours, and I really ended up liking the story. I could see people being disappointed with it though, as there is literally nothing else to do other than play the story. A New Game+ could have been a smart bonus to this game.

About 8-9 hours. It's mediocre. The presentation is great and it's pretty funny, but the combat is extremely shallow and easy and the boss battles suck. Its that bad?seems like alot of people are enjoying it.
I would say 8 hours, to. Imo, the perfect length for this game.
Everything except the last 30 min. was great.

@Icemael said:It's not bad. But the light shot is ridiculously powerful even if you don't upgrade it at all (it allows you to kill almost any enemy in a matter of seconds), making combat dull, and the boss battles are really slow and simple. This, by the way, was on Hard.
Combat is fine, I prefer it to RE 4&5 though I don't love those games. The point is to see the weird shit Suda came up with and he does not dissapoint. I hate all non mario/zelda boss battles but these were no worse than the majority of games out there and at least here they break the fiction less.
It is a fun 8 or 9 hours but certainly nothing mind blowing. I got it for 50 bucks and feel that was a fine price if Suda and Co. are getting a chunk of that.
Well I got shadows of the damned, and its pretty damn fun so far. I'm on act 2 fighting some weird goat thing riding on a horse. I like the weapons in shadows of the damned and the goofy nature of the game. The puzzles are pretty cool in the game aswell.

Funny, I never used the light shot. Anyway it's about 8 hours long and pretty damn good too
I finished it in about 8 hours and really enjoyed it. A new game plus mode would have been really nice, but its still a fun game. A rental would be better than full price purchase I think, but new IPs should be supported in this world of sequels I guess.
More of my thoughts on it here if anyone is interested, http://www.giantbomb.com/shadows-of-the-damned/61-32684/user-reviews/?review_id=20091
@falserelic: That most likely is not gonna happen. Something like that would require a lot of time and effort on the team because a NG+ usually entails a vamp up on difficulty, bringing over weapons and upgrades, Making it so special features go through and other things. All of this would need to be tweaked and balanced for game as a whole at that point and releasing it for free would be a would be ridiculous. If they add a new mode or something else in the process, it could mean it would be DLC and then they would at least be able to pay the employees for all the extra work. Thanks for letting me know. I didn't know it take so much to add that feature.
