I enjoyed Skyward Sword more than Vinny, but his complaints are valid. Having said that, I did finish it in 35 hours...

Its weird because I was just thinking about it yesterday when I renewed my phone contract, where they kept offering me more stuff when I sounded hesitant. I was like wtf is going on, do they have a list of things they can give if the customer sounds like he'll cancel?

Also Vinny was SO passive aggressive about skyrim, he was giving it so many backhanded compliments. He is obviously salty about it winning.

And the best part, and I don't know if Dave already knows this. Stephen Russell, the voice of Garrett in Thief is totally in Skyrim, almost too much. But he does play several Garrett-esque characters which is totally awesome. It's like my two favorite game series came together.

Also the earthquake talk had me worried, promise me you guys have got a plan to preserve yourselves AND the site should anything happen during a work week.

Now that I listened to the whole Bombcast I really enjoyed Dave even though no Jeff was a bummer. I'd seriously would really enjoy Dave on future Bombcasts.

I agree with Dave, first sign of apocalypse and I'm putting my plan to become a warlord in the hellscape of my home.

We got Yuengling in Ohio a couple months and it's the highest quality, cheep beer I have ever had.

You're breaking my heart with eliminating Uncharted 3 so quickly. That game still does what no other game this year even attempts and I think it rightfully belongs on any top 10 list. But that's just me.

Nirn is the bigger world of The Elder Scrolls games, Tamriel is the continent on Nirn in which all of them have taken place. However there is other lands in Nirn such as Akavir, which is the actual homeland of the Dragons before they were driven out by Naga-like people..

I agree with Dave, Skyrim's combat is totally satisfying in just about every respect. I feel it balances enemies that are fun to kill because they're easy and enemies that are rewarding to kill because they're hard really well. Maybe I'm a fringe case because I'm going all Fireballs, but I've been having a ton of fun with it.

@Supertom11: What was it specifically that Uncharted 3 was doing that other games weren't attempting? I'm not being snotty, honest. I'd just like to know.

Great episode. Very little game talk, but just really fun discussion. Love having Dave on. Also: sometimes, on episodes where Brad is on, I completely forget he's there for about an hour until he randomly decides to chime in or gets directly asked a question. Also fun, but I do wish he was a bit more of a presence.

Best Bombcast I've heard in a long time. So glad Dave was on and the little talk on video games was more than enough.

@Ryan: This is why comments about Skyrim/Uncharted/Assassins Creed's combat being clunky and inoffensive fall flat, because the intricate, elegant combat of Vanquish or Dark Souls is neither and that scares those detractors!

I really don't get the zelda timelines hate, I like it's craziness, and considering the reaction to the super mario galaxy's story, it seems a bit odd.

they should really do a jeff and ryan endurance run next time.
