Giant Bombcast 12-06-2011

Vinny makes his triumphant return with tales from the suburbs, Patrick cruises Internet chat rooms, Brad catches Black Friday Fever, Ryan hates giant laptops, Jeff craves Texas toast, and everyone plays Saints Row: The Third.

When Brad started to compare the South Park RPG to Persona 4 I nearly died.

I don't know if i can take another week of Saints Row the Third getting so much praise. I get why, they've not really given Saints Row as a series much attention before, so naturally this game is going to blow them away, but that game is not that great. It's very well produced 'n all, don't get me wrong, and when the missions are actual story missions it's amazing (there aren't that many though) but damn it's a disappointment to me.

I can see how The Third could be considered the best game in the franchise if you didn't play the others much. When I compare it to Saints Row 2, it's still a very good game but not resoundingly better.

Just refreshed the page about 10 times over the past hour, only to remember that it's Monday. *sigh*

I wish the new podcast would come up when it's tuesday over here...oh well, something for tomorrow at least!

Discovering these things was about the best thing that has happened to me in the interwebs, since...discovering quick looks! Perfect to listen to, while walking to work through snow and darkness. So thank you, GB Crew!

I wouldn't eat human but I bet it tastes just fine...

I do eat horse from time to time. Pressed, smoked and sliced. It's delicious on sandwiches. We call it "hamburgerkött" (hamburger meat) in Sweden. I haven't tried horse steak or other horse meat tho but I hear it's good meat.

I would eat dog. I might not eat a dog that I or someone I know have had as a pet tho.

@antivanti: Ever had ostrich? It's stringy but weirdly tasty.

I have a friend who has eaten dog accidentally when he was in southeast Asia. He said it wasn't very good.
