It was pretty fun watching someone learning the dual-stick control scheme for the first time. I'm glad I had played Quake 3 for Dreamcast before I played Halo 1.

It's a shame she learned from Drew and Alexis' evil, tainted control scheme.

EDIT: Alex-sis knows what's up. Bat, motherfucker. There are so many stories of people surviving knife wounds because of adrenaline. Besides, bats are much easier to handle and have a longer range, as well as a much huger swing area. Fuck Mythbusters and their shit (actually I like them, but fuck their shit on this one instance).

EDIT 2: Aspartame doesn't give you cancer. It's easy to look it up, but because of this myth, aspartame is one of the most well-researched food/drink additives on the market, and it's perfectly fine for you.

Nice. I missed most of part 6 onwards. Damnable time zones!

Alexis' sister was such a great sport throughout this. Like any good guest should be, she didn't overpower the conversation, she was polite, respectful of the chat (which is a nice change from the usual treatment the chat gets), and just generally cheerful. She was very self-aware of her place in the situation and it's something that I wish Patrick had been more like earlier in the show, since as soon as he showed up he immediately stole the attention away. It was nice to have more conversation while he was there but it was a shame he took the focus away from the feature to all about Patrick's taste in tv & movies.

Poor Drew having to chaperone the girl through this section. She's adorable, I hope the chat wasn't too mean to her, lol.

I agree with this. She was a great addition, she had a really magnetic personality and did not have this "what I say is most important" thing going on.

Mind you, I do also go out of my way to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Like the giant bomb user/turned engineer who took over from drew for a while. He might seem a little quirky at first, however you just need to give everyone that little extra time to prove themselves.

Most people gravitate towards the "loudest most magnetic personality in the room", and while I can certainly make that person me in order to get attention (which feels nice) - I would rather just sit in the corner with someone awkward and quirky and hear what they have to say. It's often FAR more interesting than the person with more developed social skills.

I wouldn't call it "respectful" of the chat, she just read it out loud more than anyone else did. Besides, with the way chat acts, it's no wonder the rest of the crew tries to ignore it.

Besides, when Patrick was there, I'm sure he knew that he was talking more than Drew and Alexis, but that's why he was there. To talk. The other two were busy playing the game, and most of the time, when they talked, they had to stop mid story or mid-sentence because something happened in the game.

Alexis' sister is awesome. And she knows her stuff: bat for life, fuck the knife.
