1Up Yours at E3 is where I first learned about Giant Bomb, they were guests during their first year of existence when 1UP went to E3. FULL CIRCLE!!

I read the names and was like awesome! Then, everyone started talking and was transported back 9 years. The only way this podcast could have gotten better was inviting Denis Dyack on the show.

1up Yours nostalgia! Now all we need is Shane (Man God) and Luke to join the ensemble.

That is kinda eerie considering that was the last 1Up Yours before the layoffs happened.

I feel somewhat guilty, as I used to listen to the 1up yours podcast weekly. Now I barely remember any of the hosts. I really used to look forward to 1up content. It's a shame what happened to the site. I went there the other day, clicked on a link, and there were nude photos in the comments. Talk about the fall of Rome.

Iv'e always wondered;why exactly does this podcast have a dedicated spot on this site? Is it something to do with a corporate overlord connection? I'm not intimately familiar with 1UP or the other personalities that host this, nor have I ever heard the GB crew mention them, that I can remember...

Oh wow. This is just amazing! 1up Yours, what I consider the spiritual prequel to the Bombcast.

Makes me kind of wish the Bombcast guys would talk more actually about games. Especially around E3.

@luciddreams117 that would require the any of the duders to consistently play a game, or talk about one, that isn't DOTA2 :D

I think saying that amiibo being more interesting than either Skylanders of Infinity (which is the most creative of the two) is something only a hardcore Nintendo fanboy would say. I think its something else that's just going to get abandoned by Nintendo. Also, again...same thing with Hyrule Warriors...only reason people are liking it is because? Nintendo. Just sayin'.

@frostmute: Mark MacDonald and John Ricciardi used to work for EGM/1UP, which was owned by Ziff Davis. At some point, Ziff Davis bought Gamespot. That's where everyone met first.

Secondly, Patrick used to work for 1UP.

@frostmute: They are friends of the site, and in particular with Patrick. Mark and John were guests on the first E3 night show this year, and I think Mark was a guest on the GDC show. Mark has been a guest on a previous E3 show too if I'm not mistaken. It's a podcasts by guys who run 8-4 Play, a company in Japan that does translations of games from English to Japanese, and the other way. It has nothing to do with "corporate overlords", 8-4 isn't owned by anyone, it's a favour for friends and they probably like the podcast (it's a popular gaming podcast about Japanese games, which isn't something GB covers much).

@frostmute: As well as what the others have said, there are actually some vids of them, Brad mostly hanging out with them the last time GB went to TGS.

The 1up Pool Party at E3 was one of the best podcasts I have ever heard. The Giantbomb night shows always remind me of it.

@amyggen: Well, it kinda does have something to do with 'corporate overlords' as most of these people seem to know each other from working together due to companies being bought and brought together. Thanks for the info everyone!

Hearing that Yoshi seems to challenge the player unlike Epic Yarn makes me excited.

I've wanted a new Power Stone for the past decade. Smash Bros isn't nearly as racist therefore not nearly as fun.

Luke and Shane where so awesome together.

The first 1up podcast I ever listened to was the one when Garnett was leaving the site. It turned out to be a 3-hour slurpfest about how great Garnett was and he just sat there and took it all in. It was embarrassing. Luckily, 1up had Retronauts and the Sports Anomaly to tide me over, otherwise, I might have missed out on some great stuff that site was doing.

Hey-o! I know, right? I like the Bombcast of course but the old 1up Yours gang used to really dig deep into discussing and debating games.Sometimes Jeff and the gang don't go as in depth as I wish they would.

Those old 1up Yours shows were often lively, high energy, entertaining and of course on topic. Great stuff.

Again I dig the Bombcast, but sometimes the scenic route off topic approach they take doesn't quite scratch that games podcast itch I'm looking for.
