MotoGP is nailbiting! Who is Iannone going to take out this time?? I believe we need a poll for MotoGP Pastor stand in. It must be either Andre Iannone or Cal Crutchlow but at leas Cal tends not to hit other riders in the process.

Yes, MotoGP is fantastic... would love to see Drew/Danny dedicating some more time of the podcast to discussing the MotoGP races going forward.

I am all in for this. I can forgive BBC for all the .... unpleasantness but the day they took away MotoGP is the day we all died inside.

Moto GP is so much better than F1 which I gave up on a long time ago, it has actual overtaking and close races.

Finish this sentence: If you watch one MotoGP race, make it ....

I'm straight in with Laguna Seca 2008.

I used to be a big fan of both F1 and MotoGP but I stopped watching MotoGP after the death of Simoncelli which hit me really hard. He was the most exciting rider that season and probably would have gone on to Win a World Title in the years to come but had his life cut short in such a tragic fashion.

I'm going for Assen last year! But Sepang 2015 or so many others. I did watch that 2008 Laguna race and it was a doozy.

Edit; I forgot Phillip Island 2015 https://youtu.be/PnS1a0a-9RM

The Rossi-Marquez thing last year was so big here in Italy, i mean it dominated the news for like two weeks...

(ps: your pronunciation of Iannone is perfectly fine)

It's not FORZA? should be a good race with the Ducati's looking good in the testing a couple of weeks ago but Iannone needs to stay onboard! Jealous but happy for you to be able to be there for the race, enjoy!

Either Assen '91 or '93 for nationalistic reasons, or hockenheim '91 for the last lap pass by Schwantz on Rainey, or even Suzuka '91 with a great 4 bike battle to the line.

Another good one would be the closing round of the 250cc in 2000 at Phillip Island, where the championship for that season was decided by 0.014 of a second

I kind of fell out of love with motorcycle Grand Prix racing after the 2000's and the switch to the 4stroke bikes, I'll still watch my hometown grandprix of Assen every year and pick up a few races here and there but don't follow it to the extent I did when I was younger. Those 2stroke 500cc machines were psychotic and the noise they make still gives me goosebumps.

here's some cool stuff for fans of oldschool GP bike racing :

Historic Battles Rainey vs Schwantz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLuMZMskRCE

Historic Battles Jacque vs Nakano: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c15XggjnXfA

Edit: and NO Danny Assen is not in Latvia or Estonia

If you want a good MotoGP documentary, I highly recommend Fastest (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1721677/). If I remember correctly it's from the 2009-10 seasons. It's worth a watch if you're interested in getting into MotoGP.

I end up watching all of F1 through the NBC Sports Extra app, so I will probably miss this MotoGP race but it was definitely interesting to hear about, and those clips are intense!

@unclematt: it's kinda of an hilarious mistake, because while forZa is the correct exhortation, forCa means "gallows", making that an unknowingly very grim sentence :D :)

Agreed... dat last lap. Must watch with BBC Commentary, as well.

Good example of the Rossi/Lorenzo "respect" facade mentioned in the 'cast.

Another one to watch, just for the weird-ass start, was Germany 2014, when more than half the field started from the pits.

No Caption Provided

I really hope it's a great race for the newbies this weekend :)

In all seriousness, I loosely pay attention to F1. I used to love it back in the Schumacher days but boooy is it boring now.

These days I just watch my MotoGP, WorldSBK, and all other motorcycle races. Moto racing is just far more competitive than car racing. Lots of passing turn after turn, close racing even at the highest level in MotoGP. It's incredibly exciting, where car racing is just stagnating and getting hard to watch.

@shindig: Philip Island 2015. Amazing.

If Danny and Drew are interested in learning about other forms of racing on off-weeks, I would heartily recommend the World Endurance Championship next. Sports car racing is doing real well right now. If you (or any readers!) need an overview, I can provide one!
