Mario Kart Wii was fantastic.

Also @patrickklepek you could use a Game Cube controller and a Classic/ Classic Pro controller.

Sure, many games were gimmicky, but some games actually worked really well with motion controls. Even in racing.

The best way to control Mario Kart Wii for me (and all my friends) was with the nunchuck and wiimote. That scheme is fantastic and very relaxed. You don't have to waggle like an idiot and hit eachother. You only bump the wiimote up when you want to do a wheelie. (Yes, to controll purely with the wiimote/wii wheel sucked)

And I just have to mention Excite Trucks and Excite Bots which worked great with only a wiimote. Really, try it! Those games really showed potential for a racing game with that kind of steering. I would love to see a F-Zero game with that control scheme.

Alright? Just alright?! I'll have you know, Clash of Heroes is better than anything else put out under the Might & Magic franchise in the past 5 years!

Might and Magic X disagrees. Heroes VI... probably doesn't.

I disagree with Might & Magic X, then. There is nothing interesting or memorable about it save for nostalgia for an old genre. It managed to completely bork its own combat by constantly throwing you into overpowered fights and refusing to let you escape them (aside from quick-loading your last save). It likes to play hide & seek with the trainers you need to improve your skills. The world feels generic, the magic items are lackluster, and fights seem to drag on way too long.

As for Heroes... don't get me started on it. Why did they decide it was better to spend 15-20 hours per campaign map than 5-10? Did they think Heroes 3 was too short?

Eh, I enjoyed it at least. Thought it did a great job of replicating the feel of the old games and that style of dungeon-crawly RPG in general, which is exactly what I wanted out of any sort of theoretical Might and Magic sequel. Even if it wasn't perfect in terms of execution, it had heart damn it.

I like a lot of the ideas in Heroes VI.... and I'll leave it at that.

As someone who wanted to play Below based on the aesthetics alone, I'm glad that everything I keep hearing about the actual game is making me more excited to play it. Also, as someone who thought the humor in Sworcery was great, I'm excited to see what full-stupid Capy is in Super Time Force.

Did this get pushed to the wrong feed accidentally? I see it in the Dumptruck and the Bombin' feed.

Nathan's improper pronunciation does not represent common Canadian pronunciation of Mario and is not approved by the government of Canada or the queen of england.

Well shit. Maybe that explains why Dark Souls 2 feels all wrong compared to Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Souls.

Also, I totally forgot Capy was in Toronto. I gotta find out more about any gaming stuff going on here.

Anyone have a link to that GDC Super Timeforce paradox presentation they mentioned at 12:30? I haven't been able to track it down.

I'm not sure if this was answered, but what spurred Capy Games to make more challenging games now with Below and Super Time Force? They just wanted a change or variety from their previous games?

I don't get people's dislike of a wimote/nunchuck combo. It's not much different than a regular controller except the parts are not directly connected which actually allows you to sit/lay on the couch in a much more relaxed state.
