Chalice Dungeon bosses are some of my favorite parts of Bloodborne. No way am I a Souls expert so I know if I can get this platinum Brad can too. GO BRAD GO!

@brad The Defiled dungeon is absolutely the hardest thing in the game. The final one after that is actually much easier, I beat the Queen on my first try.

And protip for the dog (I don't know if you ended up beating it): Stay in front of it, and use the L2 attack when two-handing Ludwig to do an overhead smash that'll hit its head. After doing that enough, its head-armor will break, he'll get stunned, and will also take increased damage there. It's also easier to dodge his front combos than his side-swipes. It's one of the very few bosses where the solution isn't "circle around and whale on its ass".

@brad Chalice Dungeon bosses are great for testing your resolve and seeing if you can kill some of them without getting hit at all since lots of them can one shot you depending on your vitality.

I already got my Bloodborne Platinum. Get it Brad!

Should of had Vinny on this, now that it's possible to do cross-country content.

I always read that witch-like character as a woman, for sure - especially due to the walking animation I guess.

Brad content has been a looong time coming. Awesome!

It came with the loading time patch. Loading times are almost cut in half, and the tooltips were added because fans liked them in the past games.

This is exactly the type of content I've been waiting for. :D Luckily for you Brad, Bloodborne has the easiest platinum by far out of all the Souls games (as someone who has platinumed all of them, Bloodborne, by far required the least effort) and in fact can be done in a single playthrough (if you back up your save). Collecting all the spells in the previous Souls games was a huge pain as well as all those weapon upgrade trophies. The Chalice dungeons will be the hardest part (can't wait until Brad gets to the cursed chalice dungeon as well as the second Abhorrent Beast and of course chalice version of Amygdala) but very doable. Good luck Brad, I'll definitely be enjoying the hell out of this.

If you want to save some time, back up your save when you're all set up for the boss, and after throwing yourself endlessly at it, instead of grinding for more echoes/vials/papers, just restore your save.

This should be a fun watch.

I just got this platinum last weekend.. it required so much patience. The boss fights in the defiled dungeon all took like 14 minutes each. After I finished this though the other dungeon was so much easier in comparison. Good luck Brad you're going to need it.

Don't give up Brad! The dog is actually the biggest pain in the ass of the game. Once you beat it and Amygdala (didn't find that boss as hard) then the rest is cake.

To be fair, The Witcher 3 came out two days ago, and most people aren't even close to completing it.

So does this mean @brad isn't going to try for that Far Cry 4 Platinum till after he gets this one, as to not "sully" his first Platinum?

I would like to place this prediction on the record:

Episode two will be entirely comprised of fighting that fire dog and grinding to get blood vials to fight that fire dog.

Too bad I don't think Vinny is even close to Brad's level so that wouldn't work even if they wanted to. Vinny does have a lot of Brad-Souls coaching experience though I would love for him to get in on the commentary.

Brad never wants to try anything different. Maybe try a different strategy a few times before you poo-poo it. People are suggesting things for a reason...

You have to learn to stop using the lock-on camera all the time because it really holds you back. It's such a weird mechanic "Here's a feature that makes this game seem modern and nice, buuut.. we're going to punish you if you use it with a really gimped dodge."

Just got to the second level of the defiled dungeon. Calling it now, no way in hell does Brad beat the Watchdog in this session.

edit: Yep! No worries, Brad, that guy is a grade A fucker. Next session you should run in, grab your echoes, bold hunters mark out so you can buy vials.

Looking forward to playing Bloodborne someday. Loved DS1 and both versions of DS2. It's not going to be available any time soon from the sounds of it though.

I play video games to fulfill my fantasies.

Instead of first avoiding the slow-winding bite attack and then dashing in, Brad should really try to dodge the bite towards the enemy. If you dodge it diagonally to the side the attack is coming from, you get to the front leg faster and can then land a couple of hits and back away. Rinse and repeat and before long you break the armor of the leg.

Beating the Watchdog was one of the most satisfying things in this game for me. Hopefully, Brad will triumph next time.
