I suppose it's different when it's your own flesh and blood being born, but having conducted/participated in 50 odd deliveries when I was an intern, "incredible" wouldn't exactly be at the top of the list of words I'd use to describe the process, haha. :D

Yeah, I think the process is viewed very differently when it's your own kid as opposed to everyone else's kid :P

This childbirth stuff is horrifying and gross.

Yeah, it's that natural affinity between parent and child. I thought every newborn I saw was ugly as a rat, but I have no doubt that if or when I do become a parent, I'm going to view my kid as the epitome of everything beautiful in the world. :p

Brad's child and birth stories were really interesting, but wow guys, most of that advice given in the rest wasn't.... sound. Moving across the country to tentatively, maybe have a job in one of the most expensive places to live is dangerous, reckless, and not a good idea unless you already HAVE a support network there. There's more bad advice in this too but this is a comment section so :/ Good luck to Brad at Valve though!!

I NEED ALL OF THESE PODCASTS. I really do, I've got a whoooole bunch of work to get done.

Maaaaaaan, how Dan always responds to people talking about being in online relationships bothers me a bunch, since those can be years and years and hundreds of hours long. Plus living in smaller towns/middle of nowhere makes it hard to find someone close, way moreso depending on orientations too.

So, other side effect of the epidural and numbness below the belt is that during the birthing process, your wife will probably lose control of her bowels as well. Happened with both my kids. Enjoy!
