While I can get why Jeff diesn't like Sonic anymore I think the character is still above insurance commercials, although the prospect of seeing video game characters in insurance ads has me intrigued.

Lords of Shadow was f*ckin great! People who give it shit usually didn't really play it.

I love everything about this. I'd totally pay for some Giant Bomb drinkin' jars on the store. Do it.

Yeah I find the Lords of Shadow dislike pretty strange. It's fair to say the gameplay isn't original but it's a solid title (with the exception of some of the jumping) with a good protagonist and feel. I respect not everyone is going to love it but to say it's a bad title is completely off target IMO. Deserves a rental at the very least.

Also emulation of Satellaview games totally works. BS Zelda is a pretty good remake of the original.

Lords of Shadow was one of my favorite action games of the last several years. I'm astonished by all of the dislike towards it. For some reason, people get WAY too fussy when they think something is copying God of War. Same thing happened with Dante's Inferno. I like GoW and all, but I think people get ridiculous about it when nothing else can ever be like it without being harpooned by the media.

Of all of Jeff's weird opinions, his Half Life opinion is by far the weirdest and worst thing I have ever heard him say. Episode 2 is a master piece

I agree with him, sadly! I wish I could be fucking stoked for Half-Life like everyone else on the planet, but I think Half-Life 2 is an incredibly boring game. I will say that episode 1 and 2 are good! but not great.

I have to agree as well. I had to force myself to finish HL2 back when it came out. Never played the episodes though... well... I started Episode 1 but it bored me so much that I stopped playing after 1 or 2 hours.

Yay, one of those videos, the one that I enjoy!

I can understand his thoughts on the pacing issues with Half-Life 2, but Episode Two is pretty much perfect in that regard. Especially how it leads up to that crazy final battle. And this is coming from someone who isn't a big Half-Life fan.

My favorite part of Jar Times is the end when Jeff just talks about stuff, not necessarily answering any questions. I could listen to this fool talk all day.

Nice, I enjoyed the Points! videos between Gamespot and Giantbomb. It would be pretty cool to have these from other peeps from Giantbomb as well. I know I ask for too much.

That game came out when I was like 15 and my friends and I where not like "ha ha, how ironic thie violence is"

we we're like like "Woah that was the baddest bloodiest shit ever!'

I could watch Jeff making misc noises all day.

His point was that even Soldier of Fortune was not in any way as impactful as actual violence or Saving Private Ryan or whatever. Sure, it wasn't comical like Bulletstorm, but the violence and gore in Soldier of Fortune was still not realistic enough to be even close to traumatic like most actual violence.
