This game seems almost unbelievably impressive. To the point where I have trouble comprehending how they've done it.

This is probably the most ambitious console game of the generation.

That melody at 1:53:22 is note for note exactly the same as St. Thomas by Sonny Rollins, with the exception of the last 4 notes tacked on at the end. Rhythm is very similar as well.

I was very skeptical when I first saw videos during the E3 coverage bu wow this looks incredible! I may be picking this up day one after seeing it in action. Hope it all comes together in the end.

On a more positive note, this looks amazing! Love the Inside Out (the film) fuzzy texture that everything has.

So much potential, but all that I can imagine is that a Garfield game could be made out of this as a way to continue Garfield with Gerstmann.

I've been in the beta since before xmas, and I can only say that this game is incredible. I haven't really published anything, just played with all the tools in there trying to figure it out, and it's kinda nuts how much you can do in this engine. In the start it was super hard because there were no youtube tutorials (still very few due to recent NDA) and the Beta forum was essentially empty, so we started from nothing.

First week there were a lot of bad models, crummy santa characters and the odd asset now and again, very few "games".

Second week we started seeing more complete scenes with multiple things and the beginnings of ideas and techniques, such as spherical worlds and different projects like the dark souls like starting to take form (watching these dreams and their creators evolve over time has been super cool.)

At the end of week 3 or so, the second wave of the Beta kicked off and there was an uptick in the amount of stuff being published. There have been more people joining the beta every week since then, and now there's new stuff being published every few minutes. The assets on the dreamiverse grows so fast at this point that it's just overwhelming. And that's from a beta that not that many people signed up for.. The longest anyone has spent on any of the user created content is 42 days from coming in cold... Almost all of our time has gone into learning.. Just imagine 5 months after this game has come out and people are proficient with the tools and know their shit.. And they are FAR MORE NUMEROUS than right now.. And when people start collaborating on larger projects...... That's when the power of this thing is going to become obvious. Once the community has remade all the assets from Super Mario Galaxy, that essentially means you have Super Mario Galaxy Maker.... It's all there for you to slap together.. Over time, this is going to be true for pretty much all popular games.... And then you mix and match as you'd like, creating absolute abominations of cross-universe nonsense.

I've been nearly fanatical about this game since they first talked about it.. And the fact that this is going to be in VR is aaaaa-maaazing. Not just because VR is amazing, but also because us VR players can essentially do animation for everyone else by just recording ourselves using the primitive motion capture that VR gives.

A couple things:

There will be online multiplayer. 4 player online, and Alex Evans said "8 if you're nice." Which I take as him meaning if they can manage 8, they will, but no promises.

There will not be split screen.

Hope to see lots of people using Dreams for the next GB game jam. I'll enter my first one ever if Dreams is allowed :)

Tic-Tac-Toe isn't an universal name. For example, here in Portugal it's called Jogo do Galo (Rooster's Game), for some reason.

But this was my first time seeing it being called naughts and crosses too.

This seems like the next big thing.

Will "Oi, you, what you lookin' at?" appear on Ranking of Fighters? I think we need some scientific testing and experimenting with it.

I'll probably just daable with the creation tools at best myself, but seeing what other people have already made so far, I think I'll be satisfied with just playing everything.

This seems absolutely incredible. There's so much potential here, I really hope a decent community builds around it because I cannot wait to get in and see what people make. It's like a constant source of inspiration and wonder.

I did not think I would be interested in Dreams, but 22 minutes in and i'm sold. The speed of getting between experiences is incredible!

This seems utterly nuts. I wonder what they hell it'll look like a year after launch.

Angryredplumber, yeah it was weird he never looked up except for like a minute. Also the others kept looking at him to talk and he was just staring down. I watched it on a 55 inch tv and it's like why put someone there if they are staring away the whole time?

I've never understood what this game is about, and after watching a bit of this, I still don't. It looks like single-player Second Life.
