I can't really tell, but I think this is one of the few games where PS3 looks much better than the 360 version. Unless Square decides to put it on more than one disc then the graphics department for the 360 is going to take a huge hit. It still looks great, but not as great than what it could or should be.

I'm still going to get it for the 360 though.

Agreed. Graphics look "fine", not as amazing as PS3, but certainly acceptable. Since I only have a 360, my choice of platform has been made. Still, not too shabby for only a couple months of porting work.

Yeah, same here. I've only got a 360 so my version of the game is automatically chosen.

Though you reminded me that since it's only been a few months put into the 360 port, I forgot that the graphics could be alpha stage. Both versions will probably be receiving graphical enhancement and changes, though so far the PS3 looks better thanks to the fact it's being developed on that console and it's got a lot more memory/technical power to work with.

I'm sure square will put it out on multiple disc, their other 360 games have been so far and they seem two be putting WAY more into FF13. They might cut back in certain areas and make it a download for free at launch like the other languages and whatever, I don't think Microsoft will allow it though since it might look bad. I'm going to get this one on the PS3 but I want my achievement points, I might nerd it up and get both lol.

Can GiantBomb be anymore 360 centric? The gameplay footage of the PS3 version has been around for ages but they didn't post it in the gameplay video sections, as soon as 360 gameplay appears - bam - there it is. I like giantbomb but I could do without their point/achievement hunger and talk only of XBL titles on their Podcast, even when the same games are on the PSN Store. I am not a Sony fanboy - I have a 360 and PS3, but some balanced game talk/footage would be nice.

Btw they did post footage of FF13(PS3), as soon as the first videos of it appeared on youtube they wrote a whole article and even linked the videos on the site. This was about a month or two ago and you could probably find the article now. And they do not own the videos so posting them as there own would not have been a good idea. They do however own this video so yes thats why you are seeing this.
As for the talk of xbox only, they have apologized for it but the xbox just has alot more interesting things happening at the moment, and it has been around for longer so they have all had more time with the xbox 360.

the reason the graphics look bad caz its shown from a tv screen
but i personally think that the 360 version will be up to par (but not as good) as the ps3 (as long as they make it mulit-disk)

Been a long time since i played a FF game (hell, FF7 was the most recent of the FF series i've played. The DS has gotten a workout with the remakes). Got a 360 so i'll be interested to see how far its come in all those iterations.

Cool cool. I've always enjoyed the FF series, especially as a kid. It's nice to see it change over the years. Kinda sad to hear the victory fanfare replaced though.

Does anyone think there is any way they could get this game on Xbox done in time for a simultaneous English version release with the PS3 in the west? Or will the Xbox people finally get to experience the wonderful FF-wait that us PS3 owners have grown accustomed to. How long was the FFXII wait? I swear Play.com has been taking pre-orders for FFXIII for at least 2 years now. Or will Square-Enix just churn out a playable 360 version that lacks the "fine polish" that is (probably) possible to achieve on the system just to have it ready around the same time as the PS3 version. Bummer if it ends up coming out alongside FFIV in 2014 :P Maybe you'll be able to play it with Natal by then ;)

The Final Fantasy franchise is the reason that I am loyal to Sony. Although I sure got screwed on the whole MiniDisc fiasco :S

And to think I used to be a PC gamer...

You're rigth, you can't tell, this is a cam shot of a projector at E3... its not going to give you half an idea of what it looks like. And if it looks better on PS3 it'll be because they decided not to focus on making the 360 version look as good as it can.

Some of the comments about graphics made me smile. remember that is a camera from a distance zoomed in on a screen in a very well lit environment. Looks fuzzy - of course it is.
Saw some PS3 Footage looking just the same.
There are going to be differences in the look and feel, the 360 version is coming a little after the ps3 and its PS3 before 360 so it will be further down the line.
NO ONE should compare till both are out on shelfs.

They still haven't sold me on the story, but at least the game play looks neat. Graphics are really impressive. I suppose the story will make more sense when you play it from beginning to end rather than trying to decipher plot points from trailers.

I'm not really too sure how to react to seeing a new Final Fantasy crop up. I know it's to be expected with the series and all, but I can't help but feel bored with it. It's as if to say, oh great, another one. But at the same time, I'm interested in where they are taking this game and how the battle system will pan out. It looks like it's going to be a fast paced, quick decision making system. Hopefully it will be a lot of fun.
