E3 2010 Undercover: Jaffe!

While Twisted Metal looks cool, I bet Giant Bomb went to this to hear Jaffe talk.

After this video I think I'm leaning towards purchasing this on the first day. This game looks massive and its just the multiplayer.

I'm definitely interested in the direction he wants to take the game. He's very confident in his vision, which I think is why I've always liked him and his games. I'll most definitely be getting this at launch.

Idunno, maybe its just me, but I have no interest in this at all......and i loved TM:B.........

Jaffe had a hangover from an all night orgy with some other development teams. also, it kinda sounds like this video wasn't supposed to be released to the public but Jaffe thanked Giant Bomb anyway.

One of the worst developers ever. What does he do again? Being a dick? Wish I could be payed for that.

I know he's going for a more coordinated, faction based multiplayer but i just dont think twisted metal is the game for that. And the fact that you can kill people rather easily doesnt bode well for any deathmatch modes either. I was hoping for a multiplayer where you played as that vehicle/class and you could advance yourself as you played. Like getting armor upgrades that hurt your speed or speed upgrades that hurt your armor.  I know he said he doesnt want for it to be another MW2 but for 60 bucks, that single player better bring something new.

Great video! The game is looking really cool. You usually don't get to see behind-the-scenes type stuff like this from E3.

While listening to this video, I watched some gameplay vids of some of the older Twisted Metal games on the PS1. Holy hell, the nostalgia! I played so much of the first few Twisted Metals when I was 9 years old or so. I missed out on Black because I never owned a PS2 (though now I think I may go out and get it for my 60 GB PS3), but I can honestly say that if they polish this game up a bit between now and release, it'll really be a game that I'm anticipating.

Jaffe and Co worked on TM1 and 2 then Sony gave the title over to 989 and they put out two or three REALLY BAD Twisted Metal games before Jaffe formed a new studio and ended up making Twisted Metal Black.  I do recommend you dig up a copy of Twisted Metal Black, however, because that game was amazing. Hm.. I don't know how I should feel about this game. The execution looks really good. Fun weapons, interesting city and landscapes but the core concept of car combat doesn't interest me at all anymore.

I liked Twisted Metal back in the day, and even black was awesome. but I just don't want to play another twisted metal game with the same gameplay and floaty controls
