Nah, that's totally canon, Leon gained access to a pocket dimension in the Resident Evil comic series, I bet Chris' stuff shows up on his body though.
 
Okay that was a lie, and not a good one, but I'm still rather amused by it.

Hey, remember that part when that one thing happened and then another thing happened and then they weren't where they were before but it was bad so they had to get away again?
