E3 2013: Watch_Dogs Wants to Underscore Choice

Hey, dogs!

I prefer this dog to CoDs dog.

I hope this means missions are at least somewhat nonlinear/multiple paths. Getting sick of GTA style games (GTA included!) where all the missions are super linear and predefined. It makes no sense for a "sandbox" game to do that!

A lot of games, including this one, use the ipad to supplement. I wonder if those who don't have one are going to miss out on some features or if I could use my phone instead.

I like this guy. He gets a little too serious about the presentation on stage, but he seems genuine.

I think I'd try to play this game without killing anyone, I feel like I'd get more out of what the game offers that way.

Interesting stuff. But honestly, my primary motivation for the game is to run around Chicago and recreate my morning commute.

They way they describe it as "invading" sounds like they're very much taking it from Dark Souls. I imagine it'll be something you can turn off? I'm generally ambivalent about the automatic mixing of single and multiplayer given that random people online usually suck.

Passive leaderboards and stuff work, but actual interactions are usually terrible. Journey dealt with that well, but that's a rare exception.

That dude has the best French Canadian Accent ever, Sounds like soo much like Jean Chrétien. (non Canadians that's a good thing)

The thing Jeff mentioned, about how when you pull your gun out, your dude brings up his mask, reminded me of my favorite thing about AC2 when it came out: walking with your cloak over your left arm. HELL YEAH!

@bhlaab: Well, by making the path more linear they make sure the player sees what they want them to see so they can make things more cinematic. I think a mix of the two is the best option, kind of how Skyrim had those really basic quests to do as well as the story/faction/guild quests.

@pillclinton: So far the answer is yes! Only weak point so far is how it leans on the zombie apocalypse stuff but it at least tells a strong personal story and the gameplay is solid.

That guy looked really high... But the game looks fantastic.
