I've been pushing for the game to get much heavier into VR so much that I think I even sent Japanese email offering to help in any way I can and I offered to send Brad a headset that wasn't a mixed reality one he has which is super low quality comparatively to what's out there now. Even if $300 Quest 2 has a better screen. Anyway it was just nice to see them talk about this stuff. I own a very tiny VR company Tacoma Washington and have been a member since before I even started that so watching things of all over time here and their take on it it's been very informative for me. In fact, in my business plan I addressed two things that We are doing differently that directly came from complaints of concerns from the giant bomb team. One is the isolation of VR and the other was space. I spent the last two years of my life working on figuring that out and they were right to have those concerns.

In my dream I get a special correspondence segment from out in the VR sphere. also, the Sony announcement means that VR is here to stay. It's just going to take a long time to adapt and you're going to have to watch it go from the Atari stage to the super Nintendo stage to the PlayStation stage. We just have to be patient and I chose to be part of the evolution as opposed to sitting on the sidelines and watching this time.

Day 1 GeForce now user here, I would happily pay 10 bucks per month because it works VERY well (but I’m on a 400MBit down / 50 up here).

Weird that they changed the price only for new users, good for me I guess but like I said it would easily be worth more for me I think.

The whole “play your steam games” thing is awesome and I’ve never had any problems with it. Same goes for epic and Uni games, too. I’ve never been a PC guy and there is no way I can afford a PC that’s a great gaming rig. For me this is perfect. I Never even think about that this is cloud gaming, because it just works - on my 2008 iMac.

Maybe it’s not perfect for every game but for most of the games I’ve played it’s really nice.

It's fun watching people talking about the isolation of quarantine. As someone with severe social anxiety and depression I spent many years not going out or interacting with people. A lot of years I didn't even have a job. When the lockdown stuff started I instantly had the thought "oh... people are going to see what it's like to live my way now." I think there's a predilection to consider people lazy when they live like this and I hope now people are realizing this lifestyle drains you in ways you don't even consider until you live it.

I don't think you're going to want to watch Kids in The Hall. They made a miniseries back in 2010 that was pretty bad. You can watch the first episode here to get a taste of that... Seems they try to be a bit edgelord-lite. The first 5 minutes involves using the word "transgender" as a punchline, an abortion doctor telling a woman to keep her legs "welded shut", and the mayor of the town grabbing a random woman to make out and grope.

@larmer: I have similar problems, though not as severe, and I thought I would be able to deal with the quarantine because I'm really introverted on top of that and I don't like hanging out with people in the first place. Yeah, turns out I liked being alone when it was actually my choice to be alone. I used to sorta laugh when I heard that humans are social creatures because I always thought I knew what it felt like as an introvert with social anxiety to "never" interact with people but it turns out even I need human interaction to feel healthy. I also learned I was interacting and being social a whole lot more than I thought. I never felt people who did that were lazy because I understood what it felt like, but it really put into perspective how hard it can hit you if you don't talk with people at all.

Also get well soon Vinny! I love your contributions to everything on the site but you should take all the time you need to get back to full health.

The news about Sony doubling down has gone down WELL with the different VR communities out there. Sony adopting the two buttons plus stick means that we will have full on cross platform compatible control schemes. PCVR and standalone and console, all with the same controls, all in the same multiplayer games... We'll see proper ass MMOs soonish.

Only reason I owned a PS4 was VR. Got the Pro and the PSVR on launch. Janky but fun as hell. (have all platforms now.. Still love VR as much as day one.)

Anyways.. The VR community is super excited about the PSVR 2.
