Yeah the knives definitely have the "Smoky Mountain Knife Works grab bag" look to them. Still, way better than that crappy DayZ knife. Also, I agree with Brad's Dad and I usually always have a pocket knife with me. My current favorites are mostly from Benchmade and Kershaw.

Too bad Jeff didn't do his "late night knife show" impression while showing off all those knives!

I did used to wonder if the guys didn't use good knives cause of weird California knife laws but I recently read that California has no restrictions on length of concealed carry of folding pocket knife as long as it's not a switchblade or a gravity knife (gravity knife definitions can be very broad but it seems like California does not broadly define it which could make just about any folder a gravity knife) or other banned item. I'm not sure how they treat assisted openers but many other states have no restrictions on assisted openers.

However, this shipment of knives consisted mainly large fixed-blade knives which I think may cause you trouble there if you're carrying them concealed. I think it's illegal to carry fixed blades concealed. They must be carried where they're visible in a sheath.

San Francisco may have more restrictive laws that I don't know about though. BTW, I'm not a lawyer so don't take my word for anything.

Wow, that HD-DVD collection is great! I definitely watched King Kong and the Matrix on that glorious format. Component video to a CRT HDTV, woohoo!

It came out simultaneously for both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. Although, I seem to recall there being some complaints about colors with the Blu-Ray version, it was a release that got heavily scrutinized in the HD wars. I had the 5-disc ultimate collector's edition that came in a briefcase.

I had almost all of those HD-DVD's. I bought into it because I was so sure that HD-DVD was going to win because it has HD in the name, and Blu-Ray sounded dumb. Oops. I learned my lesson and stopped buying physical media.

Back when energy drinks were a fad Beaver Buzz used to make their green tea energy drink with cane sugar and it was THE BEST energy drink I've ever had. They've since switched to fructose syrup I believe and the taste is just not what it used to be sadly. I still have dreams about that drink.

Are the HD-DVD boxes really that maroon color? I always thought they were bright red. Like, blood red. If they are in fact maroon, that's rad and makes me want to get some.

It's funny watching Jeff read the french off packaging just because I am so desensitized to it. Unless the french language shit on packaging is really intrusive, I barely notice it anymore.
