Mailbag: Giant Bomb Mailbag It's Friday and Yeah

It just so happens that, due to its peculiar shape, the Viva Pinata box it sitting right at the end of the my shelf. The shelf right next to my desk here. I see that joyous horsie grin several hours a day. I'm looking at it right now in fact. When i stop looking it will still be looking at me.

I read the novelization of Blaster Master in that line of books at least twice.

I have never played Blaster Master.

Yeah! I had the Bionic Commando, Infiltrator, and Metal Gear books and loved them when I was a youngin. The only bummer is the only one I never got to play was the actual Infiltrator game. But I remember really wanting to play with that light blue costume and use grenades and stuff from the pictures I saw in Nintendo Power. Ah those were the days. The Metal Gear book was probably the best on though.

Was this filmed in a different room, or did they redo the entire office? Did I miss that?

I was really expecting a "not in the eye" joke from Vinny at the end.

It might be time to dig out my copy of Viva Piñata.

I totally had one of those 'NES-game-as-a-novel' novels when I was a kid. It was Blaster Master and I thought it was real cool.

I was all about buying those Donkey Kong Country novelizations from the book fair. Man, those were something else.

@artisanbreads: Dude, those Resident Evil novelizations are surprisingly REALLY good ! My favorites are City of the Dead and Underwood. Those books give more of a crap about the Resident Evil plot than any of the games ever did !

Yeah In my defense I do think they're actually solid action adventure books. I didn't love an RE game til 4 but ended up caring about the series because of the books.

I actually did do book reports on at least 2 of those Worlds of Power books in elementary school. Only reason I ever gave a shit about book fairs and/or BookIt.

Looks like the guys are finally getting some storage; I notice some newish bookcases.

@stealthmaster86: They are easy to get, I didn't want to send in the ones from my childhood so I bought used copies from sellers on Amazon, you basically have to pay shipping.
