Giant Bomb now needs to go to PAX Australia and make a panel that is literally just a fight club between pro-thong and anti-thong Aussies. I would pay money to watch that.

I love chef drew and his cooking experiments. Planning on picking up a sous vide kit myself one of these days to play around with, can't beat a dinner party where 10 peoples steaks are all cooked perfectly. You can actually rig up your own machine too, all you need is a container, some heated running water and some airtight bags with a thermometer. That said I'm definitely just gonna be lazy and grab my own, thought they weren't that cool until I worked with one during a large event I was responsible for, made life so simple, A bit of steak, some garlic mash in a big pot, sous vide green beans with a lemon, terragon butter combine and some roasted ears of corn. I agree with you in the context of wikis and such, but the PS3 absolutely has the best community in terms of PvP since there are a lot of people who've stuck with it since Demon's Souls.

So, anyone know what studio that emailer worked for that was shut down?

That currency system single-handedly obliterated ALL of my interest. There's a lot of cool stuff going for it, and the currency even shows they are interested in innovating and experimenting, but it's just too convoluted and forcing transactions with players to actually get your money's worth sucks.

I haven't played it since I was a kid, but I really liked Cel Damage at the time.

When the guys were talking about the new Batman game and joking about driving, i couldn't help but to think that IT'S THE FUCKING BATMOBILE. It's not a Prius. I'm sure it won't just be Batman going from point A to B while listening to the Inception soundtrack.

The idea of being able to carry my PS4 controller into any room and, without requiring a PSVita TV, can simply tune my tv into the PS4, having it pass the bluetooth signals through the ethernet cable, and continue playing is really really goddamn cool to me!

Also a tv under 70" generally uses <100Watts of power and could be powered via that same ethernet cable that it is receiving the audio/video signals through, while passing BT and IR signals back to the source device.

I do like that there is a premium version of the Bombcast but I still get the regular version because I like to listen to Jeff and Vinny doing the Ads. Does this make me weird?

What exactly was with that military signal beeping section? Anyone know what they were talking about? I'm completely at a loss, but I want to know.

I almost turned the podcast off when Jeff bagged on White Castle. I will not stand for harsh words against the greatest establishment, food or otherwise, of the modern era.

I'm going to take an educated guess and say that the contractor worked for 38 Studios. Closed in 2012, and the game he worked on for 4 years but was never announced is probably that MMO they were working on.

The ads are funny, I don't understand why anyone would want to skip them.

Why does everyone say the Dark Souls PC port is terrible? Just because you couldn't pick a resolution?

I installed the game, set it to 1080p and played it. It didn't have a ton of options, but in a similar fashion to difficultly of the game, I feel the quality of the port is massively exaggerated.

I only listen to the ads the first time. I'm working my way through old podcasts, and I'm at the end of 2013. I'm picking the ad free ones the second time because a joke is only funny once.

It's terrible because the lack of options and that the keyboard+mouse setup is extremely fiddly.

That you can get around the resolution problem with a usermade fix does not excuse the product of being bad. Neither does the fact that you should be playing with a controller anyway. It's still a poor port.

Don't get me wrong. I love Dark Souls, and I've played both the PS3 and PC version for endless hours.

@masterrain: It was a very unoptimized and barebones PC port. While it may sound like ''PC gamer entitlement'', consider that a resolution fix was posted within an hour of the game being released. Jim Sterling did a great episode about it on Jimquisition http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/jimquisition/8545-Shaming-PC-Ports-Because-Why-Not .

There is an expectation of Quality Control, imagine if the PS3 version of a game had xbox button prompts (assuming Sony QC would allow it to pass), it'd be a mess, but if a PC port is an absolute mess, or just doesn't accomodate the openness of the PC platform, why can't we call a spade a spade in that case?

... I have fond memories of Cel Damage. Granted I was a little kid, and I'm not going to be tarnishing those memories by playing the HD version and realizing that it was probably never that good

I'm surprised that Brad is so down on the idea of the main villain in Arkham Knight not being Joker.
