I've never heard anyone pronounce it "yolk". I've always heard and said "yoke".

Ok, seriously, am I the only one who has noticed that Brad always- ALWAYS- pronounces the L in "talk" so it sounds like "tawlk"? There was zero chance he was going to pronounce "yolk" correctly.

@brad Speaking to the industrial issue you're having in Cities Skylines, if you highlight a building with the "needs workers" icon it'll say what you need specifically, in my case I had this problem and I needed more uneducated workers, so I had to build a residential area that had little to no schools and this ended up filling up the quota for uneducated workers. Or you can go the route I eventually went and simply get rid of industrial entirely, go for high education with offices and import goods using cargo ships and trains instead.

Installing OpenTTD is worth it for the multiplayer alone. Highly optimized train stations built by competent players are mesmerizing.

I cannot imagine in any sort of way, anyone managing to get 12 meaningful hours out of Ori. Like seriously I got 100% in that game without a guide in 6 hours and I died(according to the stats) 200 times. Like seriously there is no way.

The things Dan says about the Monster Hunter controls could also be said about the MGS controls.

I really want more Jason in all Giant Bomb content. He's certainly one of my favorites on the west coast crew. It would be fantastic if he became a consistent member of the Bombcast.

Plus I think he's the first member of the crew that I share similar likes and dislikes with in video games. :P

@jeff I think a good thing to remember in regards to Final Fantasy X-2 is that it happened right after The Spirits Within bombed horribly, lost the company a bunch of money and forced them to merge with Enix. I think once that context is put into place the existence of the game itself makes a lot more sense as a quick cash-in because everything was on fire.

If you were using a mouse in FF11, you were playing the game wrong. No right clicking on stuff til it dies. FF11 is a punishing-ass MMO. Especially at the time Jason played it. You weren't leveling past 10 by yourself. There was just no way to survive. You had to join exp parties.

Why the hate for FF13? FF13-2 plays much better and the plot is much easier to follow. If they took the time to actually sit down and play through it they wouldn't shit on that series that much.

I do NOT pronounce the L in "talk" because that's just horrible.

Maybe I'm not remembering last gen correctly, but I felt like it took Sony a few years to get really strong on first party stuff.

After two years the PS3 did have two great exclusives: MGS4 and Valkyria Chronicles, neither of them developed by a Sony studio, and a few other middling things, (I personally loved the first Uncharted, but I don't know if I could go back to it, and it probably doesn't hold up). And both of those came out close to 2 years after the system launch. Maybe LBP was in there too.

Bloodborne is shaping up to be the first really big exclusive for PS4, appears to be right on schedule.

Seems like things are going EXACTLY like they were last gen, honestly. As far as exclusives go anyway.

Ehhh... now that I think on it more, I'm going with "whatever." Regional accents are different, and all that.

There are plenty of words where I do pronounce the L - folk, yolk, calm, balm, almond, psalm - and plenty where I do not - salmon, solder, talk, walk.

I will just mention that controller battery running out does not make your save disappear in Helldivers. Didn't happen to me at least, and this was the first I've heard of it.
