Here, here. Since the first Quick Look he was on with @Jeff, I've found @DanRyckert's enthusiasm a breath of fresh air to the crew. Duder's totally got my support.

As for Danny, if only...

It's funny how Brad picks an email panning Dan for his lack of argumentation skills when Brad can only explain whether a game is any good in that it's popular. I know it was a joke but still...

Anyways good job on hosting the show, Brad and the podcast was great as well.

I don't know, I found the Need for Speed film to be pretty cool...

@papamozano: At least you admitted you were being kind of a dick. So that's something, and I respect that. I've been a follower of Dan's work via the Replays and Super Replays on Game Informer for nigh on years now, so I was pretty excited that he was coming over to GB. He's the perfect fit because his personality and humor are pretty in line with what I've learned to love from the crew here, even since before the CBSi merger.

Is he a giant fucking manchild? Yeah. But he knows it, I know it, you know it, and it's part of his appeal. He was always sort of a foil to some of the more levelheaded guys at GI, and here on GB it's like no holds barred at this point. I love Vinny and I adore his videos with Alex, but to be honest I hadn't laughed as hard I have since Dan joined the staff in awhiiiiiile.

Another great podcast and Brad continues to pick some good emails.

These Dan revelations are scandalous! But shaving without any shaving foam/gel is hardcore. I kind of have a feeling he shaves with older blunt razor blades too.

it's hilarious listening to the podcast a few days late, and (for example) hearing that Crytek news on the podcast and then the news that came out Wednesday.

I love the Bradcast because it's the first time since Ryan passed away that Jeff doesn't have to organize the show and can just let loose. And I'm really loving Ryckert on the show more and more each week. There were more laugh out loud moments for me this week than any regular Bombcast this year.

As others have said, I feel Brad taking over as host allows Jeff to be let loose a bit more and for Brad to give a bit more energy and interest into the show. Dan's a great addition and Drew has enough moments when he slides in and makes me laugh.

theres been so much talk in the podcast about GI JOE and i want to watch it now. lol, on netflix it has gi joe, a real american hero, but is that where to start, because from what dan is talking about it seems like hes starting on a good point. or should i be looking out for just straight up gi joe. where do i start????

As a single guy, living by myself - I do see some of Dan in myself. I have (and do) shave parts of my face dry, when I can't be bothered with anything else. It's a decent way to finish any spots I missed with the shaver and my skin can take that slight abuse. I also use mainly plastic cutlery and paper plates, since I don't own a dishwasher and don't want to wash dishes by hand. I do own proper cutlery and dishes, but I just can't be bothered to use them. I have never used a shoebox to hold food, but I have used other random carton box material for such a purpose - when I had run out of parchment paper.

He definitely seems a bit dumb every now and then, but the shit he describes isn't really that crazy. And it's important to note that having the ability to do something and wanting to do it, are two different things. I'm perfectly capable of washing dishes, cooking good food and doing a proper shave - I just often choose to skip the dishes, heat up ready-made food and scratch my dry face with a razor.

There are MMOs that tried doing things differently. The Secret World has pretty darn cool quests. I really like the way the Final Fantasys handle classes and their plots are actually pretty fun as well. Also Limit Breaks and Maat are a fucking cool idea.

Isn't Dan married? How is it possible to spend an afternoon drinking "40s, watching G.I. Joe and playing Burn Out"? The man is a master!.. and also a child trapped in a man's body, lol.

I would like to introduce Dan to the concept of a trencher. In medieval times, common practice was to use thick, usually stale bread as dual purpose food recepticle and also edible food. You take a loaf of bread, hollow it out from the top like a trench and pour stew inside.

Speaking of which, i think Dan's diet could be improved with the purchase of a slow cooker. It is braindead easy cooking. You toss your meat and veg and broth in, you turn it on, you wait for it to do its thing. ...unfortunately though, Dan will have to wash it. After that shoebox story i'm not convinced Dan is safe to live by himself without some sort of fulltime aid... just to make sure he's safe. >_<

Ooooooooooohh! The end of the podcast hurts my balls.

All of the crew's talk about how different Destiny looks from Halo is baffling. I mean, your ancient alien artifact that's dooming the universe is a halo ring, you're got a subset of evil armies that look strikingly similar to established Halo enemies (I mean seriously, some of those guys on the Fallen side just look like over-designed Elites), and the aesthetic of the guns, while not purple and curvy, has a lot in common with the human side of things in the Halo universe. And I can't be the only one who sees a striking similarity between the Titan class and Spartan armour, right?

Am I the only one in the world seeing this? That email sounded spot-on.

And Destiny you reach 20 in then you get gear with Light on it, taking you to 33 as seen during E3, maybe above that, but I'm starting to feel sceptical. I'd rather finally import Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin! because that is so much more interesting to me and I know how great that one feels to play, and it's something I from the Vita companion app know really will last me forever in grinding and fun and studying Japanese.

Destiny is a better deal than the nothing but multiplayer Titanfall and turn in your gamercard if you think both are the same in value, but I flat out don't know for sure about Destiny lasting long enough. Both play freaking wonderfully, no problem getting platinum with how fun it is to play but how long will I stick with it? The killingduders modes are great, but how long can I stomach that with all the F2P I'm playing on PS4 and PC? And GTA5 coming out to where it belongs?

Will I care enough about exploring and learning the story of Destiny? I kinda want to get into that brutal turn-based strategy beast that is Natural Doctrine, coming just a week after Destiny, too. I hate being on a one-game-a-month budget but Destiny will keep me until October-November so that will be fine. Thanks government.

I dunno, even if it is just his shtick, Dan's whole "manchild" thing is already starting to wear kinda thin for me. I'm sure he's not a bad guy or anything just... not really what I wanna listen to.

Which, y'know, it's their Bombcast to do with as they please. More power to 'em. Just realizing how much I really do miss Vinny, Patrick, and Ryan, though.

@papamozano Like others have said before me, well said. I don't think you sounded like a dick, you were just being honest in a respectful way. I don't know why people think that being critical and honest about something/somebody is bad, as long as it is done with respect I don't see why it is "dickish" thing.

@lokilaufey I don't see why it is a bad thing to be honest and critical about something/somebody if it is done in a respectful manner. I like Dan, and I agree with what you say about his humor and his personality. However, from my perspective, things stop being funny when his manchild attitude starts affecting others. Eating from a shoe box? Funny, no problem with that, but not even knowing how to recycle and using disposable cutlery out of pure laziness? That is just being part of the problem.
