Would have been better with Dan. Still top notch, tho.

It's cool to see and hear that top brass from Iron Galaxy. That Adam guy and that Chelsea lady. Serious movers and shakers. They brought that jerk in the baseball cap too.

Guess who is on the PS I Love You podcast today. It will be fun to see which is "better" but my money's on Giant Bomb.

@evilpotato: I'd say it's more important to have the podcast on Youtube for younger audiences than the actual video. Some podcasts even publish only the audio version on Youtube with just a static image just to be on the platform. Not everybody is used to listening to podcasts on their phone.

@amyggen: That instantly makes it 85% better. The only time I've enjoyed Colin was when Jeff guested on that episode of KFG. Jeff was able to keep him in check, and he was an entertaining dude.

@evilpotato: I believe so. Reaching a larger audience means their ads are reaching more people. And someone could start listening on youtube and then discover the other contents in the site.

Today's audiences consume a lot of their content on Youtube, and YT generates revenue. If Giantbomb can convince people to subscribe to giantbomb.com and pay money for video podcasts, then so be it.

I don't think that's fair. Maybe just consider that KFG is for a different audience.

Kind of wish the comments for the Audio and video casts should be one since the assumption being they're effectively the same.

@ericsmith: yeah I don't hate Colin or even dislike him really, I respect his reputation and experience in the industry but his personality can be a bit... prickly and sometimes he comes off like he just thinks he's smarter than everyone else. I occasionally enjoy the KFG but they're all such obvious Sony fanboys that you have to take some of their commentary with a grain of salt.

PS: what happened to Adam's hand in the video thumbnail!? Does he need to see a doctor?

@heatdrive88: Yea, an audience that thinks they are learning something when one of the hosts is actually just spouting bullshit "facts," while also playing up that the audience actually knows everything already. Kinda Funny is basically the Headline News of gaming.

@ericsmith: I think the main issue with KF/C&GL is the fact that they're pretty narrow in their speciality/knowledge space (which isn't a bad thing per say). However when they start talking about a lot of non-sony/megaman/(and a lesser extent) nintendo stuff, their blind spots really show, which can lead me to some head-scratching moments..especially when they ham-up their respective schticks. Though saying all that, I do find them entertaining for the most part.

@diegocbarboza: @lurkero: of course. As long as they keep making great content they can and SHOULD do anything they can to make more money and reach to a wider audience.

@jedikv:I agree with this 100%. Colin knows his Megaman like Jeff knows his Blitz. I just get very frustrated when they do try to speak outside of their knowledge bases with authority and get so many things wrong--it's a problem I have with Tested talking about games, as well. And it says something about their entertainment value that I don't love KFG, but they are still on my podcast list (I don't listen weekly, but whenever I have extra podcast time I put them on).

@visualizer: Them being Sony fanboys doesn't even bother me really, because they know what they are and don't try to hide it. Having a bias in and of itself isn't a bad thing as long as you are willing to look away from that when required, and I feel they do that well enough.

It's bizarre people still think No Man's Sky is unique. Spore and Space Engine already exist.

Brad mentioning the Vykeen and having seen the Quick Look where Alex runs into them gives me some pretty big doubts about the diversity of aliens in No Man's Sky.

It's not me right? The premium Bombast does not have video. Plus, listening to premium causes me to miss the funny commercials? Fine, I'm a fan so I'm good with that.
