Shame to hear Double Dragon IV is so bad. Especially on PC.

Not listened yet, but I just played some Double Dragon IV and it feels pretty lacklustre.

When I got my Framemeister, the first thing I did was hook up my PS2 with SCART and fire up Silent Hill 3.

@jroa: It might be better on consoles but it's a really weak on the technical side on PC. Maybe patches will bring improvement.

Looking forward to listening to this one; I've been pursuing retro display "perfection" and went from having never seen a SCART cable in person to owning a half dozen in the space of a month.

I don't see why someone needs to spend 1400 dollars on a monitor that is 14 inch when they could use a emulator and it be ten times better already and not need an old console stinkin up the house.

RE: Audio Issues

When I listen to this video it only comes through my Center speaker and the subwoofer. No left / right (front and rear). That might be the source of the audio sounding bad. When I plug my earbuds into my 5.1 speakers the audio disappears for some reason.

@steveurkel: It basically just boils down to having the minimum input/output lag, while also avoiding tearing. Modern emulations can usually do either, but not both because of the way digital video hardware works.

I'm not obsessive about latency, but I still get pleasantly surprised every time I go back and play an old console on a decent CRT. It's one of those things like stable 60fps that you don't notice how good it is until you try to give it up.
