Giant Bombcast 482: Mega Duck Hunt

And so it begins: Will Destiny 2 haunt every podcast for the upcoming two months, like the first did? As a non-consoleer Destiny was of no interest to me, but I'm curious as to how Destiny 2 will fare on the PC, against a little stiffer competition on the shooter market.

Great thumbnail. Ben's appearance seems to really have lifted the spirits at GBWest. It was kinda laid-back and quiet before he got hired, like the duders lacked energy, but Ben has turned that power dial back up pretty fast! Great to see the crew back in high spirits!

@Cynicologist I agree. Brad seemed especially tired and burned out. I'm sure they all had a ton of extra work to do to put up content plus plan E3. Then the first mention of Dota from Ben perked him right up!

I can just speak for me, but Netherealm games just don't feel good to me. So they can make all the great singleplayer content and customization they want, but playing Street Fighter feels good. The way Jeff talked about the pacing I think puts into words well what I mean.

I've always liked this video - Yves Guillemot comes across as saying "It's Oobisoft, but we don't care, just talk about us!". Also I may be mishearing it, but I think the last person says "Soft as in software" which is wonderfully useless.

Being a french company the most correct pronunciation is oo-be-soft, not you-be-soft. But the company itself says you can choose whichever way you want to pronounce it so i guess whatever

Always baffled whenever a developer decides to LOWER the player count in multiplayer... Example: In Battlezone with 64 players it doesn't really matter if you suck, the team won't get stomped because 1/32 of the team sucking.. 4v4? One dude sucking and the other team being decent means the sucky person's team loses. So.. If you suck, you'll essentially just always fuck up everyone elses game.

Low playercount is instantly a turn off. Either you're on the team that loses because you or some other person is garbage, og your stomp the shit out of the enemy who has a shitty player.

Everything about Destiny screams "NOT AN MMO!" while they are trying to sell it as that..

Sometimes I wish Destiny was more like Planetside. And by sometimes I mean always.

I dunno, in my opinion they make some pretty cool games!

I am born and raised in Northwest Montana the far cry trailer looks like it could be down the road from where I live and walk my dog. Huckleberry es are the best tasting fruit ever and we have 3 jars of jelly and jam in the fridge right now. In the 80s my dad and me were chased by a bear picking huckkeberries. Montana isn't just white supremacists and rednecks. We are the worst state in the US for meth. I moved to Utah and Las Vegas and came back to Montana and despite having visited Europe Hawaiia and make your places in my life Montana is the most beautiful place I've ever been. I recommend if anyone has a chancestors to visit and go white water rafting or hiking at glacier park in your life you do because it is a gorgeous place to live. I hope they don't have a zombies like the first far cry though. We are not known for our zombies.
