I'm Glad Jeff shot it down for the most part because that verbiage sounds EXACTLY like some kinda reactionary gamer being defensive of his fave game studio. especially in the face of facts corroborated by so many other employees quoted in that Kotaku article.

The two suggestions Ben and Jeff made for new Diablo announcements, Butcher (Roadhog skin) in Overwatch and a playable Deckard Cain in Heroes of the Storm, already exist. I'm not sure what it means that they didn't know this (or had forgotten), or what it might say about Blizzard for using possibly the lowest-hanging creative fruit. No matter what, pretty funny.

I wish more people would stop constantly assuming the worst and realize that people on the internet, especially when anonymous, will exaggerate and spew hyperbole any chance the get for meaningless internet points/cred. I don't know jack squat about work at Rockstar, but it seems most are more than eager to believe the worst and downplay/ignore anything contrary.

Not every company is some evil tyrant enslaving poor naive 20 somethings for table scraps.

@capncrunch: There's no "cred" or "internet points" to be gained by talking about how your employer is possibly overworking/taking advantage of you though. Its not like the people saying this are coming out of this with big checks of money or tons of fandom or whatever. I don't see a whole lot to gain by making up a story about how your employer works you to the bone for weeks on end.

I'm sure there are lots of people at Rockstar that are happy with their working arrangements, or even eager to work more than they're asked, but that's also not emblematic of everyone working there, nor does it give Rockstar an excuse to overwork other employees.

They are really just throwing everything at the wall at this point for HotS, they've added a Hero that's just a wagon that throws corpses. The meat wagon from Warcraft 3. I mean there has to have been a better character to pull from in all of Blizzard's games before deciding to add a sentient cart.

It's super friggin' annoying the PS4 Spotify app won't let you access your gosh darn podcasts, I was wantin' to listen to this here Bombcast while playing some Fire Pro World missions last night (fuck #32 sideways) and they were like "nah, son....nah."

I ended up listening to John Cena's rap album instead.

It's becoming just a little more tempting to get Black Ops IIII. Hearing Jeff talk about it makes me think I would like it a lot more than any other CoD game in a long, long time.

From what I understand the PSP "retranslation" for Symphony of the Night that will be in the Castlevania Requiem Collection is actually more of just a re-edit and only applies to the voiced cut-scenes, the rest of the game's script remains untouched. The dialogue is still completely different from what the characters are saying in Japanese. Here is a comparison between the Japanese and original English script for the "What Is A Man?" opening scene and the same scene in the PSP version.

I really hate being this person but calling Rondo a 90 minute bog standard Castlevania game is selling Rondo criminally short. Yes, that game got hyped way up due to it originally not releasing in the west and I don't think it's unfair to view it as a game that was overhyped by fans but to essentially say that Rondo isn't anything special is really underselling that game. For one, Rondo is incredibly substantial as far as old school 2D platformers go with just tons of secrets, branching paths, hidden levels, etc. I remember playing it on the PSP collection and it took me damn near a month and a half of regular play to get through every stage in Rondo. Not necessarily because there's a ton of stages but because the stages are substantial and the game is damn hard. If you are VERY good at 2D platformers then perhaps you can get through all of Rondo with 1 character in 90 minutes (worth noting that the average 100% speedrun time is about 40 minutes). While the remake of Rondo didn't do much for me (it's kind of ugly, doesn't feel great, but is also a bit easier), but the original game totally blew me away. At least for me that game alone is almost worth $20 but the fact that it's packed in with SOTN... unless there's something fucked up about the versions of these games featured in the Requiem collection I personally find it hard not to recommend that collection especially if you've never played either game (though I would definitely make sure to wait for reviews just to make sure there isn't something messed up about the versions of these games featured in this collection).

I am with Brad though in that I think it's a shame that the Requiem collection is basically just those two games and zero special features. I guess that's expecting a lot from Konami in 2018 but if there was ever a collection of two games they could get away with just releasing bare bones versions of it would be a collection with Rondo & SOTN. It's definitely a "no frills" collection but it's a not frills collection of two all time classics.

Also, COD BLOPS 4 might be the first COD I really dig into for the first time in forever. It's a shame it doesn't have a campaign but Blackout mode sounds great as someone who loves the Battle Royal concept but who hasn't been a big fan of how most Battle Royal games play.

Having seen Vinny play through Rondo of Blood on Vinnyvania, that game seems like the best classic style Castlevania by far and definitely a kick-ass game in its own right. I dunno if it's 20 bucks worth of cool considering its age but it's definitely the game I'd buy Requiem to play.
