I really appreciate the look at games that don't make it in the big press conferences/streams. There are always truly hidden gems that don't get talked about every E3.

Things I don't understand:

1. Why people keep trying to make first-person platformers

2. The appeal of Post Malone

That was a good collection to go over. I Feel for Jeff B on how he likes games like bloodborne but just cant play them. Also bonus Post Malone content.

You could ignore the first hour and 10 minutes pretty safely with some exceptions (AoE4?) but I thought the last 20 minutes of the PC Game Show had some killer indie games: Citizen Sleeper, Songs of Conquest, Death Trash, Mechajammer, and Ixion.

@el_blarfo: I'm with you on Post Malone, but I turned a corner with him when he did a Nirvana tribute charity stream last year with Travis Barker. He fucking killed it. I still don't like his music, but I totally respect him as a musician.

This wrap-up was a great idea. The more slow-paced, lucid discussion is a great companion piece to the rapid-fire press reactions.

Next year, let’s pretend to be surprised when another Post leaks a Bethesda trailer right before their conference. He really wants that Elder Scrolls 6!

there's no way to make this comment without sounding like a dick, but thank you for differentiating between OCD and the satisfaction of organizing things.

I like the idea of this show. Gives some games that may have slipped through the cracks otherwise some well-deserved attention. Keep up the good work, and here's hoping for Elder Scrolls VI :p

My only problem with Mario + Rabbids had to do with the overworld stuff. The puzzles were kind of interesting but you never knew if you were going through all this trouble to find an upgrade or if it was just a dumb trophy or music disc or whatever. It was very deflating whenever that happened.

@aires: A lot of the trailers were from the bigger press conferences.

@brenderous: Danny has discussed this in the past about how his OCD goes way beyond the organizing thing and things like flipping the light switch on and off 3 times to make sure it’s really off, etc.

@ouranou: I was thinking the same thing, I'm sure it's just a 'Deep Impact/Armageddon' coincidence but inspecting objects in the car while having a conversation turn creepy really was quite similar.

@leviathan_dive: It's a (disgusting) name of a portable toilet rental company. I think Jeff is having some work done on his house and so the contractors have it there to use the restroom.

Why does Post Malone have face tattoos?

Jeff, if the souls games are hard, invite a friend or summon randoms. You can summon 2-3 people usually and you will just destroy a boss. Problem solved.

This is the first I've heard/seen GiantBomb care about twitch raids, they called out a couple of raids sent their way, and then raided Dan at the end. It could just be coincidence, but I have to assume this is in line with their effort to expand their content-creation pool beyond the core team. It seems like a smart move to get a little more involved with the twitch streamer community given the direction they want to take the site.

Post Malone actually seem like a decent guy and talented from what I can seen of him online. Yet, poorly done face tattoos are just a mistakes on all levels. You can't do prison tatts on your face, it just makes you look like a meth-head.

This was also me. Like you said I have no interest in his music, and for all I know he might be a complete idiot (hopefully not!), but I was surprised at how good he was for that Nirvana thing.

Yeah, I have a problem where I try to do most of the side stuff so I 100%'d that game, and it's very unsatisfying that 80-90% of the chests in Mario + Rabbids 1 are just concept art and the soundtrack. Occasionally you would get skillpoints, but mostly not. It really felt like a PS2-era low budget licensed game with how much it mistakenly thought I cared about concept art as a collectible. They should've reworked the entire chest contents to more widely distribute those skill points in place of the pointless music and concept art.

Only thing worse would have been Post E giving the finger guns. God that video is so awkward.

Demon Turf looks awesome. I want to check that out.

I’m really surprised at how good the music has been in the trailers this E3. And the tone has largely been on point too! Usually it feels like game trailers are trying too hard to ape movies and TV, but not this year. There’s a real confidence now.

Also this has been true for a few years now, but it is absolutely bonkers how high the bar is for visual fidelity now.

On the downside, there really needs to be a consolidation of events. Way too many publishers doing their own streams.

Loving how Road 96 uses the Con Air soundtrack at the end. It sounds like the Carson City track.

I don't really understand why they are so perplexed by Atomic Heart. To me it just looks like a more zany Fallout game.

I think one of the reason why Atomic Heart seems so confusing is because it is extremely within the Soviet Space Age aesthetic and Soviet scifi style in a way that just reads as incomprehensible to Western audiences. I'm not from Eastern Europe, but it just sounds and looks like a Bioshock-trailer but with Cosmonaut robots? Idk

It was nice to see Danny offer some pushback to the OCD claims. Normally people just let that stuff slide like yea, i guess you could have OCD, who can say! But no, not everyone that enjoys things to be organized, straight up suffers when it's not the case.

Harold Halibut looks awesome. Unmetal is clearly a game i need to play. Axiom Verge 2... i don't know if i prefer this over the first game.
