I would rather use a flushable wet wipe, 2nd to last wipe, than have a stream of water splash poop water on my balls. I have never used a bidet, so correct me if I am wrong I guess.

@dexterminator: First of all, "flushable" wipes aren't as flushable as you might think. Secondly, the angle of the stream cleans off your butt without even touching your balls. Unless you it want to, I guess.

@dexterminator: Bidets also don't use dirty water from the bowl, they have clean water coming in. You usually hook it up to the same water line that fills the tank in the back of the toilet

I would love a bidet with heated water. That is the dream. For now I guess I'll stick to wrapping my hand in paper like a mummy and going to work down there for 10-15 minutes after each poop.

Just stopped by to say how much I enjoy this show. Live show times never work out for me to watch the show as it goes out, but I do love watching it.

Also don't use 'flushable' wet wipes. Ever.

bidet makes your butt crack wet. Toilet paper wiping has downsides but lets not act like showering your butt and then pulling your pants up is a perfect solution.

Real men whip their ass old school style, not use a bidet. What happened to the lunchbox, blue collar, men of yesteryear? What has the world come tooooooooooo.... Well, I will fight stand up to the bidet invasion! I will save manliness!

@humanity: when I was in Korea, we somehow got booked in a five star hotel out of nowhere (a Ritz?) and our hotel room had a toilet that did everything. It controlled the speakers and radio in the whole suite or just the bathroom. Voice commands. Built in bidet with warm water. It sprayed cleaner on the seat after you got up. Self flushed duh. And it talked, but I don’t speak Korean. Sometimes it would play ambient tinkly tinklies or deep humming synth pads. I couldn‘t figure that out at all but it was nice. It had Bluetooth for some reason? Its voice soothing and unobtrusive.

Also heated floors, a bento box of perfectly Tetrised toiletries. A heated mirror that never fogged. A towel warmer/steamer. Three shower heads, including a…lower shower head. Not a drop of water splashed out but it didn’t even have a full wall or sliding door. Amazing shower. Jets in the bathtub. All of it voice commands but again, no Korean here. :(

I think about it weekly. I have never been so clean, butthole and all.

Yes cannot emphasize the "do not flush 'flushable' wet wipes" line enough. It sucks that this country is a hellscape that isn't regulating that or punishing companies that are putting that on their product, but please don't flush them; look up fatberg and you'll see why.

Even if you do use them, at least throw them in the bathroom trash can instead of the toilet.

Can we please get these uploaded to the premium podcast feed the same day or at least the day after? This always feels like the forgotten show each week and it’s the main one I listen to.

I've noticed more and more people are using that blur effect for their background and it's super jarring to me. Especially when it starts flickering. I'm just not a fan of it but I can understand why people like it, to focus on the person more than their background.

Man, it is very clear that all the bidet naysayers here have never used one, and have either been told some extremely wrong things about them or have just plain incorrect ideas about how they work.

• It's clean, fresh water; usually run through its own line coming off the main water line to the toilet.
• It cleans you off very efficiently. The spray is very directed at the correct anatomy so you can control where you want it to be.
• Even if your bidet is cold water, you're generally not reveling in it long enough for that to be any sort of issue. Ones that warm the water or connect to your hot & cold lines for a user-selected blend are fine but somewhat unnecessary IMO.
• You still give yourself a quick drying wipe with TP, you don't just pull up your pants over a soaked ass-crack (this one was the biggest LOL WTF one to have to address).

I love this show, seen every episode, and it's my third favorite series on the site. (Which sounds low but top two are upf and borne to run, so like. Not bad things to be behind).

I know he's said this repeatedly but I never seem to catch it: If I'm not watching live, how do I get questions in? He's taken questions in the past that were sent in from not live viewers, so where do I send them to?

I use a small foam spray designed for you to apply to the toilet paper before wiping. And since you use normal toilet paper, it's flushable unlike those "flushable" wipes, and it's perfect for travel if you don't have access to a bidet. One day I do want to get one of those fancy bidets. First time I used one was in Seoul during layover and those toilets are game changers lol

@chronosquall: I even emailed support about it and it got escalated but then fizzled out. I don't understand what's going on with that feed. The bi-weekly podcast Jan does also screwed up and uploaded episode 4 like a week before episode 3. I think they mentioned something about making new feeds/sorting out the premium feed but it doesn't seem like its happened yet.
