@ej: Did you watch live or something? I watched the VOD on a 55" TV via Chromecast from the Video Bomb android app and thought it looked fine.

I don’t know what to tell you. There’s people who can’t tell the difference between hdtv and sd. Some people just aren’t as sensitive to these things as others.

I should be clear, I do think the YouTube video looks quite a bit better than the site archive.

This is GREAT content! Please keep doing these. I laughed often and this was generally just a fun time. It's awesome seeing Dan's ideas be met so well with Grubb, Jess and Jan--very likable crew.

(As an aside, I find it disconcerting how many GB users leave nasty comments, indicating they have zero sense of humor or are severely misinterpreting it. They're clearly haters, so... maybe they'd be happier watching something dry and less fun? Thanks.)

I LOVE this idea and would love more of it. Jess having the fairies and the heat resistant potions gave her a leg up early and really setup Jeff to lose very early on. I wish both of them started with the same gear (perhaps with nothing)

A relay race would be great next time.

Also I think MGSV, GTA 5 [no cars], Red Dead 2 [no horses], Just Cause 3 [grapple only] are all candidates.

This was legit one of my favourite GB things in a while. Would absolutely take more competitions in this vein (even if it were right down to the "cross a map with no fast travel" mechanic). Dan as the Games Master is such a perfect fit.

I'm sorry but Jess having faeries and heat potions at the beginning was definitely cheating because it gave her a HUGE advantage Jeff didnt have. Something they need to tweak if they do it again.

@ydross: Yeah, this is a great idea otherwise, but the disadvantages for Jeff prevented it from truly being exciting. After seeing just the first 15 minutes, the victor was already clear, which is a shame.

Lol at how indignant Jess got about whistle-running when she used like 5 fairies and just sat through basically every curveball Dan threw at her.

I agree with some of the comments that more defined rules about fairies and potions needs to be applied, but this was really fun and Jeff was a great sport. Maybe a south-east to north-west competition next time, or a totally different game. Nice on the Switch to have the NES online stuff easy to jump into. If anything, this makes me want to jump back into Breath of the Wild. Fun video and can't wait to watch more.
