I've never noticed him interrupting anyone. He doesn't shout and is probably the best informed of all of the crew members. And you're seriously going to take Patrick to task for going on tangents? Was he the one that brought up hummingbird feeders, HAM radios, or his laundry machine? No, those are the guys that have been here from the start, so no one complains. The bombcast is a long-form discussion. People sometimes step on each other when talking. If he has done this, then everyone has done this. And he shouldn't be crucified for talking like regular people talk. Most of the comments about Patrick aren't constructive criticism. It's people saying he sucks.

Really, truly, honestly take a look at Patrick and your dislike for him. I'm almost certain you'll find it's more rooted in him not being a Founder Bomber than him shouting or interrupting.

You do realize that Brad and Vinny aren't "founders" either you know?

And the three critcisms I put up there are the main CONSTRUCTIVE criticisms of Patrick which has showed up EVERY time somebody has demanded them. As for taking him to task on tangents, fine, tangents that aren't there to be humorous or otherwise entertain, but more masturbatory asides that are for naught than to wax intellectual about something he knows about that could easily be condencsed to half the time he spends saying them. I.e. his tangents are unnecessary longwinded and more or less never build to a further discussion with unlike retarded stories about HAM radios and dinosaurs banging cars.

Patrick has even admitted himself that he interrupts people too often and you really need to open your perception if you don't notice that he shouts downs people to get his point across a whole lot more than anybody else on the podcast does.

I don't hate Patrick at all. I enjoy a lot of his articles. However I find his attitude disagreeable at times and for my entertainment dollar he detracts rather than adds far more often when it comes to QLs and Bombcasts. However my main problem with the Bombcasts since Patrick joined is the fact that there are five active mics now. It's really hurt the flow of the show for me as in there are too many cooks in the kitchen. Returning to four mics and then having the guys tag out once a week would probably do wonders.

It is possible to say that there are things you aren't a fan of and come with feedback (Which is seemingly shared by several others) and not have to be accused of some sad shut in who spends all day with a blanket made of hair from the guys at Giant Bomb cursing that you aren't Patrick and can hang at the office. I take major issue with the defense brigades attempts at shutting down any criticism by concocting this image of everybody who has the slightest problem carrying around a Patrick voodoo doll. And I'm especially disgusted at how you keep using the poor guy's personal tragedy as a way of guilting people out of speaking up.

I too think the posts of just "Ugh, Patrick!" and nothing more are asinine and disrespectful, but to continously group any criticism as such is not only insulting, but proof of either your stupidity or lack of comprehension.

Vinny and Brad were here in 2008. They were here from very early on. They are part of the original four.

As for these tangents, I'm going to need some examples.

There is nothing wrong with articulating that over days, months and years that a passive audience member reflects that some of thier favoured performers are an important part of their life.

Maybe I'm just really jaded, but there are a lot of quick looks of JRPGs on the site that are totally worthless as an information source and aren't really anything other than the staff going "Well this is a JRPG-ass JRPG" for 30 minutes. Persona 4 and Chrono Trigger are kinda exceptions, if anything.
