Can't wait for the next one. Let's save that Kerbal. Also let's get to another planet in the Kerbol System when the "get to the moon and back" mission is complete.

@beowolfschaefer:

Why does it matter if they're wrong?

The joy of this video is that they're hilariously chasing a goal with their own methods. If you want to watch perfect Kerbal videos there are tons of them available, and wanting this one to be perfectly in line with all the information available when it's clear they don't play this game very much is wanting different content than what they can provide.

Trial and erroring Kerbal is pretty much the best thing that ever happened to me on a computer. I don't expect Vinny to stream 30 minutes of Scott Manley tutorials for every 2 hours of Kerbal like I did and recommend to everyone early on, but you can see them start to "feel" how it works, even if they don't necessarily understand it.

You are doing the FSM's work boys. Don't ever be game over.

This series is soooooooooo good. Might be worth looking up a view quick tips for extra success, though. It will still be challenging, even with some pointers.

Here's a couple quick ones:

1) Once you break that first layer of atmosphere on launch, tilt to 45 degrees (generally eastward) to build both height and orbital velocity. Not the most efficient, but fairly fool proof.

2) If you've made an orbit with a wonky angle, make your corrections where the plane of your orbit and the Mun's orbit intersect. This is where you'll have the most fuel efficient maneuvers for realigning yourself (This is where you use the purple maneuver nodes).

3) Never point down. Don't do it.

Great show!

I don't think I've enjoyed a series on Giantbomb, more then this. The presentation is epic. I hope this goes on for a long, long time.

Have they decided when the next one is coming out? I'm really itching to see some more Beastcrew Kerbal antics.

Don't gang up on me everyone.. but I found the two man team on this feature a refreshing change of pace for the Beast Crew. Austin is cool, I have no problem with Austin, I'm not a bigot, racist nor do I want him off the site - none of that. I just enjoyed the slightly more laid back rapport between two people, instead of the slightly more chaotic three-way.

Just my opinion though. I enjoy everything else they do together as a team.

probably the wrongest post in giant bomb comment history. last two episodes have been soooo much better than the first.

Austin had already left the site by the time I first got into GB - I mainly know him from Waypoint - but man, the Austin-Vinny-Alex dynamic here works SO well. Perfect balance of thoughtful chaos.
