I really wish Vinny started this from the start. Would've made a great endurance run, which seems to be what they're doing with this anyway.

From what I've kind of gathered since the last Endurance run, they really hate doing them. They hate it when anyone even brings it up or says the name "Endurance run". I haven't fully figured out why, but some of my guesses is because either the community badgers them and abuses them while they do it. Or because an endurance by design has to be done every work day and they don't seem to have the time to do that. Or both maybe?

Either way, I kind of get the feeling that endurance runs wont happen anymore unless things change.

Because it's a lot of work making a video every day, making sure everyone is around and available to shoot, and making 4 videos in one day because you know you're going to be out of town.

Yeah - if they called it an Endurance Run, they'd feel compelled to do this every day. ER's cause problems for them - messes up their schedule, causes problems, puts people under the expectation that they'll play from start to finish.

"Load our Last" format however, doesn't put any pressure on them - they can be lighthearted, do it whenever they want, stop whenever they want, play however they want.

I don't think I've laughed more at anything than I have at this series. Content of the decade!!!

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought. And just to be clear, I'm totally okay with things like this. I like the bomb crew and I like the content they have been putting out. I want them to be happy and have fun when playing games or doing whatever for the site as that makes it more enjoyable to watch. On the topic of Dark Souls, I'm really enjoying watching Vinny play. I haven't played Dark Souls myself because honestly I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of abuse!

YES! watching this while I try and finish up Demon Souls.....a good night indeed.

Bought the DLC for this the other day. Was so looking forward to it. But bought it for the wrong region. I can't believe that in 2013 I can't play it.

I'm still stunned how easily he downed the Sanctuary Guardian. I was convinced he'd have more trouble then that. Myself and everyone in the chat are never not amazed at his absurd power.

I don't get how Vinny easily beats some of the hardest bosses in the game, then gets his ass handed to him by pathetic enemies like the sanctuary guardian.

He is a Dark Souls savant!!! But i am suspicious that he is studing up on how to play, no way you could do that to the Guardian like that. I am just baffled.

I'm pretty sure they've always recorded huge chunks at a time and then split them up throughout the week. Still, doing that a couple of times a week would take a lot of time and it seems they are busier now at CBS than they ever were before in the basement offices.

This is seriously the best content ever. Vinny's upbeat attitude in the face of what is a relentlessly soul crushing game is something to behold.

This was maybe the best episode of this yet, oh man. So many hilarious deaths.

I don't really think this is a spoiler considering you guys know that Dusk comes from the past...but the forest and the surroundings look so familiar because it IS the same forest, just back in time during the era of Artorias. The bridge that you cross to get into the Royal Wood from the Sanctuary is totally the bridge you cross when you fight Sif, and the area where that gardener man signals all of his friends is where all the cats are in the future.

The bridge that the dragon flys up to is also in the future right above where the Hydra is, although I'm not sure Vinny ever climbed the ladder if he's just now killing the Hydra.

DLC has, bar none, the best boss fight in the entire game. The last boss is alright, but it's that middle boss which is just so damn amazing. Once you get him down you feel like a goddamn superhero. Not exactly hard, per se, in the same way that Dark Souls isn't exactly hard, more just so amazingly well balanced. It's a fight that doesn't pull any punches, but actively wants you to learn it and beat it. So good.

And then, well, you get to the Township. I hate the Township.

The DLC has a lot of really cool lore in it and it's kind of too bad that the Bombcrew doesn't give a fuck about any of it.

It's because he's massively over leveled for the area and he has a maxed out weapon. I walked into the DLC area at soul level 38 and I was smacking the Sanctuary Guardian for like 100 dmg a pop. Vinny was hitting the dude for like 400-500 a hit.

Sanctuary Guardian was smacking him around a good deal and was dealing a good amount of damage, but Vinny has Estus. A longer drawn out fight would have resulted in Vinny's death.

Artorias will be a really interesting fight because he'll kill Vinny in a few hits, but it looks like Vinny has the power to do the same to him.

I enjoy Rorie's ridiculous justifications.

Maybe he was referring to Ninja Gaiden 2's fixed camera, which I also don't find myself liking too much.

IF vinny's going to two hand his weapon and only wear a shield on his back, he should carry the grass crest shield, at least it would accelerate his stamina regeneration for him while it's hanging out on his back. also, if he wears the mask of the child at the same time, the stamina regen effect DOES stack, making the use of both items at once better than either one alone

It's really simple: Dark Souls is a game of exploration. If you don't like exploring, you probably miss a lot of content.

I only wish it was a little more often than once a week. Literally twice a week would be really nice. Maybe a Tuesday and a Thursday? There are days when very little content goes up on the site that would be greatly enriched with these LiveStreams. I mean honestly I think the live stuff they do is some of their best work on the site. I don't miss TNT at all as in my opinion it has been really dragging along before they finally cut it. Unprofessional Fridays are also starting to somewhat lose their appeal for me as I tend to fast forward through most of it. I guess I've just had my fill of "wacky" old or weird games for now and rather see them play something more recent.

Everything about this game makes me glad that I'm watching Vinny playing it and not playing it myself.

This basically IS an Endurance Run now. There was a lot of us who wished Ryan would have continued playing Dark Souls, as an Endurance Run (with Vinny), after he briefly played it on "Welcome back Tricaster".

Are you supposed to just know to reload the game as well? Come on, it's done badly.

This has quickly become my favorite feature on the site right now.

he's playing the DLC so this can only be amazing. It was tough, so I can't wait for the Vinny experience on this one.

@giefcookie: No way! Smough armor/Child's Mask/Smough hammer is obviously the best most efficient way to play the game :D

I really wish the chat had voted for the Claymore over the MSGS. I think Vinny would have appreciated the moveset, having both the sweeping horizontal attacks and the thrust. MSGS is still great, though.

This is my favorite thing on Giant Bomb... and probably on the internet.
