I sort of miss phat roll Vinny but great sword Vinny is pretty damn funny as well. I get the urge to finish up Dark Souls with my sorcerer while watching this then I think why bother since I could watch Vinny do it and have a lot more fun. I'm a wizard and this looks fucked up. Thanks very much for this video feature.

Because his strategy is always the same: be bad at dodging and hit it until it dies, while downing Estus Flasks at the worst times possible. It just works better with harder-hitting, slower bosses than it does fast ones like the Sanctuary Guardian.

Also, he always rolls just one time too many while dodging. Makes me laugh every time.

The end game for that sort of thinking is the strident, mystery, exploration, and playing-disenfrachising info dumping that hinders most games this generation. It's that sort of thing I hope to avoid by this sort of thinking.

Ian's point about reloading was a MUCH better view of this, a technical issue, not sky-high expectations of immediate payoff.

Don't worry Vinny, I accidentally killed an NPC today as well.... But man, that was some hilarious shit.

I just beat ornstein and smough ! ! It took me 75 hrs worth of playing , upgrading etc to do it . . Omg that was b*stard hard.. These vids inspired me to go back to dark souls ,I'm glad I have ,now on with the rest of the game . . .

This has inspired me to start playing on PC again and check out the DLC---Dark Souls is contagious!

I don't know about you guys, but I think the Load Our Last Souls series is one of the greatest content Giant Bomb has ever produced, alongside the P4 Endurance Run. I don't even really like Dark Souls.

Thank's for doing this, it sparked my craving for Dark Souls since I beat it in late 2011. It was overwhelming to come back to every items and how it played, but got so into it after an hour or so, and now i'm hooked again. I just started this DLC for the first time on ng+ and I must say it's a bit funny how I struggled with that first boss and Vinny just overpowered him.

@jellotek: Yeah, but can you blame him for not wanting to lose his (60?) hours of progress? For the record, I agree, though. Seeing his reaction to O&S or the Gaping Dragon would've been great.

Yeah. The truth is: there are no hard enemies in the game. There is only your lack of knowledge or skill. Whenever someone says an enemy is hard, they just don't know how to deal with it properly yet.
