Had a lot of fun here! We might try and do this with more people in the future; ping me here if you are interested in picking this up or already have it! Also, sorry if my audio is popping in this - I don't think my sound check at the beginning took into account how much I'd be yelling. We had a long meeting about audio stuff on Monday and before I stream again I'll try to incorporate some of those tips into my workflow!

Holy crap. Manual identification and stop watching to set up firing solutions may be a bridge too far for me.

Been playing uboat on and off that is more sp/management sim like (you have ai that you assign schedules and jobs, etc. Think Shortest Trip to Earth with work/sleep schedules) and at least on the default (?) settings you go through the motions but get lots of visual cues and a simplified interface to figure out what ship you are trying to down and how fast it is moving and so forth. Although part of me totally wants to disable the in-game guide book and just use a printed out PDF of an actual id book.

@antime: How many pings though?

Quite a few interesting sub sims have been popping up lately, which is great since Ubisoft doesn't care much about Silent Hunter. Wolfpack looked cool but I know I'll never get any of my friends to be interested in this. I'm hoping UBOAT turns out good.

@rorie: The open hatch is one of this years funniest moments. Thanks for this!

It is no fun without the ship sinking. I played quite a bit of Silent Hunter 3 and 4 many years ago. The damage in this game seems even worse than unmodded SH3 which is what 15 years old?
