Awesome! I can't wait to sit down and listen to another great 8-4 podcast.

I think I'm done with this podcast. There's only so much I can take. So glad I found Idle Thumbs to take its place.

The more I hear about Monster Hunter the more I want to get into it. But as a pure pc gamer, currently, I have no means of playing it. I need to research if there's more reasons for me to get a Wii U. I kind of like jrpg's so... that's half a reason, right. And to play it in my bed, there's another half.

How big are the shin megami tensei games on the Wii/Wii U? Loved those on the ps2.

Great show. But I have to say that you guys are on crack with naming Portal as the 'game of the decade'. As far as console games go, Call of Duty and Gears of War (regardless of what you think of them now) are the most influential and important games of this generation. But if you want to talk about global impact on the industry, influence, community phenomenon, popularity, longevity, and legacy, there is only one game that fits the bill, and that's World of Warcraft.

VGA segment: skippable bitchfest of the decade

Dude the VGA's were SO much better this year. You should go back and watch the VGA's 2011. Yeah it's about flare and dumb shit yeah it's america what the fuck do you expect? God dammit get over it, games are bigger in America than they are in fucking Japan. Understand how stuff work outside the country you live in. I get mad at shit like this with the Bombcast too, it's as if they don't really get how Japan works and vice versa with you guys. Try to see things from a different point of view for once.

@Christoffer: Wii emulation works pretty well if you have a nice computer.

For whatever it's worth, at the end of the Revolutionary war large elements of the US Army at the time wanted George Washington to become the King of America and if it weren't for Washington himself saying no to it himself, he would have been king.

This. As a History buff hearing these guys po-poing the King George DLC (Which I think is awesome) as "French alternate history" was annoying.

Especially since it was alongside "The Nazis winning WWII is a realistic alt-history." Loved the rest of the podcast, but them openly mocking an idea that actually almost happened as "too far-fetched" was a little irritating.

@Undeadpool: Come on now, surely you can see the difference between Hitler making different strategic decisions in WWII causing the nazis to win vs George Washington, who didn't even have "becoming king" in his character actually becoming a crazy king. There's a clear difference.

To some extent, sure, but Washington at least had the notion of becoming King of the newly formed United States, and not exactly on a "whacky lark" either. I'd say it was AT LEAST as likely as Hitler winning WWII (which wasn't terribly likely).

Man, the DJ KK Slider stuff is really hot stuff. I remember really liking what I heard in one of the trailers and I'm glad somebody online managed to nab it all.

I really love the podcast but sadly I can only listen to this podcast while in the car because everytime I listen using headphones, all I hear is wet mouth lip smacking noises when a few of the people talk.

Perhaps. I heavily disagree with Mark that the only thing different this VGAs had compared to the last was that they gave the GotY awards to more deserving games. There was NOTHING equivalent to the teabagging of last year's and I don't think anything the VGAs could do will satisfy him if that is his stance on the matter. I thought this year's was a significant improvement.

I wish this show came out more than once every two weeks.

It's the only podcast i listen to where this happens a lot.

these guys are good and they might very well be the best
