I don't know, this was kinda cool but I would have preferred a normal episode about Mania and their predictions. They seem really restrained and just asking questions as if they were wrestling journalists, which is fine; but it's not really what I listen to the Powerbombcast for.

Hopefully he is less salty at the business here than he is on his own podcast.

Still the weirdest thing he was kind of pushed out after the drunk Ric Flair hilarity. If that's actually the whole story or real reason of course.

I'm a little torn. Like, I'm not way into the idea of bringing people on to shill and shill and shill. But then Jeff is capable of doing a hell of an interview and I'd like to hear more of it.

Great interview and fun podcast but yeah definitely would prefer if this was more natural, i.e. do a bit of an interview then go into the normal podcast and just include JR on the usual shenanigans instead of ask a question and let him talk for a while.

What a weird website Giant Bomb can be. And I'm all for it.

Dan trying his damnedest to get JR to say that Kansas City is his favorite BBQ town had me practically rolling on the floor.

We're still getting a normal Powerbombcast WM preview episode, this is just an interview that will run in that episode which they made available to people that aren't subs.

Coming from a long lapsed wrestling fan, this was a great listen with great questions!

Thanks for the interview guys. It was a lot more even keeled than I expected. I listen to Jim Ross's podcast pretty regularly. Although I think he gives WWE too much slack I still enjoy listening to his opinions about wrestling considering that his commentary was a significant part of my childhood. Weirdly enough I kind of prefer the Powerbombcast, sorry Jim. I wish nothing but the best for good ol' JR.

Quality podcast and interview! It felt a little cool, understandably, but what a treat! Plenty of insight and some stuff I've never heard before, like why Mick Foley was selected and that he was rejected so many times... I admit it's been a while since I've read Have a Nice Day though, but I don't quite remember him talking about the reason why he was brought into the WWE/F.

I think I could listen to J.R. wax nostalgic for the rest of time.

I was 10 when watching WWF in 1998 and I loved it, I could understand right from wrong, I knew wrestling was scripted and it had no impact on me mentally. I don't see why they treat kids as being stupid and how they have to turn WWE into Disney to appeal to them... LIKE NO WE HATED DISNEY AS KIDS! What kids wanna see is blood and gore and people smashing each others face in!
