This doesn't look bad - frustrating, but not outright bad. Not my cup of tea either way, but the reviews for this are almost universally unfairly harsh. They talk about it like it's Big Rigs...

Excellent Quick Look. Even though it was quite long, I watched it all the way through. Patrick and Vinny were quite entertaining. Not my type of game though since I hate fighting the controls and don't enjoy games where I'm in the dark 90% of the time.

The worst games always make the best quick looks.

Escort Mission: The Game

Good QL so I know to just avoid this one (or at least stick with just the demo if I get too curious), Vinny is just delightful in this.

Wow this game looks terrible, however for $10 it could have been a lot worse.

A lot of good ideas and a lot of terrible execution of those ideas. What a shame.

Even for 10 bucks I don't think I could try this. Especially after paying only 5 for Binding of Isaac and getting a WAY more satisfying experience.

This game doesn't look anywhere as bad as the reviews have made it seem.

1. Die from the first enemy who takes one or two hits to kill because you're acting like a jackass with the controls.

2. Complain about how the very simple combat system is terrible.

3. Intentionally mislead people about the quality of the game and how it is supposed to be played.

SERIOUSLY!? You can only hide behind the "everybody has their own experience" argument for so long. This is like me making a video where I play Forza 4, and just run the car into the wall the whole time and say the racing is terrible.

bad game excellent quick look

The game look good and the story seems interesting. But I don`t like the combat.

I've universally heard that it's unresponsive and controls like crap. Sure didn't seem like they were being misleading.

There also appears to be a fair amount of confusion about what this game is... It is NOT a horror survival game! The game is in fact a puzzle game, with a VERY simple fighting mechanic.

To first address the puzzle aspect... everything seen in this video is just the tutorial... and basically Patrick calls an end to the video at the very first puzzle... where the game actually begins... In other words, what is seen in the video is not a good representation of how the game plays out.

As for the combat... It really is just a simplified version of the Assassins Creed fighting engine... You simply just keep bashing the dodge button until you see your opening, then bash the attack button... it's actually quite hard to die, and certainly not as broken as it appears in this video, or as hard as Patrick was making it look.

However, having said that, i'm not under an delusion that this is a "great" game or anything... I just don't feel it is as bad as reviewers and this video make it out to be... For 800pts (£7) it kept me entertained for a couple of days, and i've certainly paid higher for worse games from XBLA.

Yeah sure, they played for an hour and didn't get past the "tutorial". Brilliant mate.

I'm watching a livestream of the PSN version and it doesn't have any of the screen tearing or framerate dropping that is in this (Xbox Live) version.

This seams like a interesting idea that wasn't flushed out maybe due to money or time limitations. I'm sure with a little polish in the right hands and maybe some length, this could be good and have potential. I'm getting a real Silent Hill vibe off of this.

I played the demo of this before watching the Quick Look. Why would you design the radar to follow the character's orientation and not the camera's?

Hm. Looks like it needed more development time. Everything's all wibbly-wobbly.
