Oh man, the very start of this video gave me massive early Whiskey Media nostalgia. It started streaming at low quality, and Austin's mic not working made his voice sound so much like Ryan in that old reverby office.

I'd kinda love to hear Austin research at the start of all Quick Looks.

I've heard good things about this game from a variety of sources. Now getting a chance to see it, I'd say it looks good too. So that's promising! I think I still have room in my heart to love another twin-stick shooter. Also I enjoyed the mic-check segment, intentional or not.

I really almost didnt watch this one because i found the character designs in the screenshot a little creepy, but man did pretty much everything about this game grow on me.

I hope you're not considering editing this video to remove the opening. In fact, I hope Giant Bomb is considering cutting more videos with silly stuff like this left in.

This game looks great. Damn.

I totally get the Dreamcast vibe. The super bright neon colors and mech designs remind me of stuff like PSO, Virtual On, Cannon Spike or even Outtrigger. This looks awesome. I'm getting it right now.

There's something oddly compelling about the fact that I have the original edit of this video =P

The picture of Starch in this thumbnail is... disturbing to say the least.

I love a good twin stick shooter, this looks really cool.

I gotta say I am glad quicklook exists because I did rather watch and avoid the games shown on here most of the times. Its a good thing I don't have to dl the demo to see what the game is for myself.

I really like this game. I think it finds the perfect balance between casual twin stick with lots of variety and a pretty challenging score chaser. Its probably the best early access experience I've had too.

@vinny Is it just me, or does the audio on this re-uploaded QL seem synced about a second ahead of the video? All through the QL I kept saying "wait, what are they describi– oh, there it is."

EDIT: Oh good, Austin and Vinny call the "Shutdown" powerup "Lockdown" too. I kept doing that when I was co-oping with my friend. 'Cause I mean, that's what you do with rogue robots, you lock them down.

Also, the audio is totally desynced.

This looks pretty fun. Also, it didn't impair my enjoyment of the video but I think the audio was a little bit ahead of the video.

The way I feel about Assault: the best team shooter mode. Thank you, Clifford B, for your hard work.

@austin_walker Don't worry Austin, you're not wrong. Dreamcast was a great system, just timing and marketing was bad. There was a ton of great stuff on the DC, which is why a lot of it got ported elsewhere.

This looking like a Dreamcast game is a great description.

Really into this game's style, like, the animaton loop at the title screen looks a little funky, but the bunch of small flourishes the characters have really add to it.

Looks fun to play too, kinda hope that not being able to play it co-op won't hurt it too much for me.

Also the ending of this quicklook is great.

I'm seriously digging this game. I loved Smash TV, Total Carnage, Mercs, Cannon Spike and the like. And this game seems to have done a great job capturing that type of gameplay.

@whitegreyblack: It's not just me then, good. I was mirroring from one of my devices to the tv and thought that's what caused the lag.
