YES. I was so looking forward to them diving into the madness that is this game's aesthetic after hearing about it so much on the podcast.

Also my thoughts on the game so far. It's pretty gosh darned fun albeit simplistic. I find there to be a natural joy in mastering the swinging so I can fly around without ever touching the ground slashing up titans. I LOVE THAT THE TETHERS ARE BASICALLY REAL. Too many swinging games, ala a myriad of Spider-Man games, have you swing on nothing.

The game isn't too difficult as most titans rarely pose a threat assuming you don't mess up, but the boss titans were a nice touch.

The game covers the main events of the anime storyline with some added bonus battles with titans that appear in the manga, but not the anime. There's also an "exploration mode" which basically just a bunch of maps to kill titans on in increasing difficulty. So to some people they might feel that the game is lacking content if they don't enjoy the core mechanics of swinging around killing titans nonstop.

This is probably my favorite Koei Tecmo game in a long while. There's just something really fun about the idea that the enemy actually pose a threat to your AI buddies and the notification of every AI death on the map gives me a sense of urgency, even if it doesn't really matter in the end. Plus I like that on the rare occasion that I do mess up I can be saved by one my squad buddies.

This game is pretty fun. Now I'm going to watch the video. Also that gif for a thumbnail is fantastic.

I need to go back in time and stop Drew from ever using that first animated gif for the quick look of Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.

I took a break from playing Psycho-Pass to watch this. Suddenly the world in Psycho-Pass seems a lot more normal! I'd love have been a fly on the wall at the pitch meetings for Attack on Titan

@Jeff and Jason: Guns don't work because Titans regenerate wounds super fast. Literally the only way to kill them permanently is cutting the nape of the neck.

"At this rate..." has to be one of the worst, most cliche, overused, nothing lines of dialogue in all of anime.

What if they shot them in the neck?

This seems like a reasonable way to use the miracle of time travel for the first time in history. Highly specific, but reasonable.

Oh yes the enemies look as dumb in this as in the anime.

I wasn't a big fan of the anime but this gameplay looks pretty fun. It's a cool idea but I wish there were not so many bad anime cliches.

So do you get to play as Eren when he does that thing? Around episode 9 of the anime so I do not spoilers anything?

Welp it's anime. There are some that aren't as heavy with cliches but more often than you're gonna get 'em.

The anime is slow as tits and the only reason I kept on watching it is because of the premise and the mystery of what the titans actually are. I don't even think I have it in me to watch a second season of it.

EDIT: Wow this is real dynasty warriors huh. This looks like the kind of dumb fun that Dynasty Warriors is but way more satisfying than Dynasty Warriors

I was hoping they would get to that, only because I think that might have been a twist in the gameplay, but nah : ((

Psyched for this, Attack on Titan is great fun.

So this game seems cool. I'm not a fan of the series but I am a fan of musou games, so I wanted to see this in action before thinking about picking it up. Have to say that it immediately seems more appealing to me than that Arslan adaptation from a little while back. I'll most likely pick this up on sale and have fun with the movement mechanic.

Well, this property seems way too bizarre for me. I always assumed that the titans were, like, monsters or something, not just Ken dolls. Fucking weird.

The game actually looks really fun, though. Super repetitive and simple, but fun.

@dstopia: I read a bit of the manga after the anime. At the moment I'm not particularly interested in watching the second season if/when it comes. I was told by another person that the manga got good eventually, but man.

Combat's kind of giving me Zone of the Enders vibes.

This game does a great job of subjugating the frame-rate.

I wish they continued the story mission, want to know how the gameplay changes.

I actually watched the entire run of Attack on Titan and really like it. It was weird enough to catch my interest.

I would be way into this if it at least pretended physics exists
