Proof positive that Alex talking about Ghostbusters results in scrambling the rest of his senses. Understandable.

Game looks cool it's just that the art makes me feel a little uneasy.

I feel uneasy about the fact that we are at a point where we need to specify whether or not a game for sale is finished or not.

Man, watching Alex disregard what the game had just taught him was a tough one to watch.

Alex is terrible at puzzle games and Vinny proves he is still the best of the GB team.

Just saw Ghostbusters for the first time this year. I'd give it about 2 stars. Didn't think it was bad, per se, but just didn't enjoy anything about it that much. Then again, I've never been a big Bill Murray fan (outside of Groundhog Day, which is an excellent film).

So watching this got me thinking that the 2 dreams I tend to have the most regularly are:

• I dream my teeth are falling out or my mouth is full of gum or otherwise becoming obstructed from functioning properly
• I dream I didn't have all the credits to graduate some previous level of schooling and they send me back (and also other people I went to school with are still there)

Game looks interesting.

And Alex almost made my head explode at the end. It's one thing when you can't figure out something; it's another when you don't listen to repeated suggestions of the right answer. heh. Always listen to Vinny! He'll never steer you wrong, unless it's more entertaining to do so.

@alex I get those recurring zombie dreams as well. Usually they're not scary, just exciting and interesting. And yeah people have told me as well that they may be caused by feelings of not being in control of your surroundings.

I have found that Ghostbusters does not hold up. Specifically, the humor doesn't play well with the way movies tend to be consumed now. Ghostbusters is a movie that you need to watch with a group, either in a theater or with friends around a TV. Watching it alone on Netflix on your computer or your phone causes the jokes to fall flat.

I think this is because, as Vinny noted, none of the characters in the movie are very likable. Much of the humor depends on "laughing at" them. Without a group around you to "laugh with" however, those sort of characters seem more sad than funny.

I never had the forgot my locker combination dream, but I regularly had dreams where I had forgotten my class schedule and couldn't find the paper that list it and these dreams happened like 3 to 4 years after I finished High School.

I felt that I was having deja vu when hearing them talk about lucid dreams when I remembed that Dan and Drew had the same conversation a couple days ago while playing MIND: Path to Thalamus

Those are both fairly common. I've had them too. The first one regards insecurity about your appearance and/or ability to communicate (social anxiety). The second deals with insecurity about your intelligence and/or social status. Pretty sure both are stress induced.

That all seems plausible enough. Unfortunately.

I don't always love the games GBEast does for Quick Looks (have they built a PC for the studio yet?) but I always watch to hear Vinny tell stories. It's basically like several Vinny Bombcasts. How else would we hear about how Los Caravellas are doing, or when he accidentally hit on that waitress in Arizona?

edit: Also, with all this Robin Williams talk lately, Alex's dreams/life seem really dark. I know he has a history of....things, but I hope he's doing well. He has a kindred spirit in Tina Belcher from Bob's Burgers, who seems to have zombie dreams all the time but usually they are sexy dreams.

Also it's really weird and reassuring to hear everyone seems to have the same damn dreams about teeth falling out and not finishing school. I kept having the "you didn't finish school!" dreams during my final semester, though, where I had IRL fears that I had done the math wrong and that I was going to be a few credits short. I must have done the math 3 or 4 times a day that semester, and I ended up actually taking about 1 or 2 classes too many. But hey, I needed to be sure, even if that meant two or three classes in winter session.

When I was a kid I use to have terrifying recurring dreams of being late and bringing attention to myself that I didn't know how to deal with.

I don't think I've ever had a dream that involved schooling/tests. Never had the teeth falling out or the being naked type dreams. Never had any dreams involving anything sexual either. The only thing is that I can almost always jump extremely high in my dreams. Like, I can jump over houses in a lot of them, no problem.

@alex: just watched ghostbusters today for the first time. i'm not sure if it holds up or not, as in i'm not sure if it is funny today the way it was meant to be back then, but i enjoyed it. the CG on the demon dog things was the only really silly part that partly took me out of the experience. the rest of it was enjoyable if you keep in mind the era that it was from.

Mirrors are more fun than television.
